Re: Carers under 30...

Is it the doc or psychologist you are seeing?

Re: Carers under 30...

Psychologist @Former-Member

She wasnt listening to me and kept really pushing deeper and i wasnt coming out of the sessions well at all and it would take me a few days to recover. Im actually more there to get help with my self harm and suicidal thoughts as im in a program. She wasnt listening to me and she was abit abrubt last time and it made me really uncomfortable so i wasnt going to go back at all but then i spoke to her over the phone and worked it out abit but im still really nervous and uncomfortable going

@Former-Member my petal
A lot of people don't understand just how uncomfortable therapy can be. Psychological wounds are very painful to clean out. It is very important that you maintain the open communication. You said you did speak on the phone about it. Let the therapist know you are nervous right from the start and ask if it is likely that you might feel distraught again after the session and what you should do if that happens.

Re: Carers under 30...

Thanks @Former-Member
I havent even gotten to the harder stuff yet this is just scraping the tip of the ice berg.
But we are suppose to be working on self harm at the moment not delving right into it so i did have to ring her and tell her to pull back up and work on what i need help with right now so that i can work on my other things better without going back to old ways
I made that very clear on the phone and also i was uncomfortable coming back in so i dont know how the session is going to go today. I hope she listens to me this time

Sometimes when the top of the iceberg is scraped off my @Former-Member that the volcano hidden underneath erupts. There is so many things in our body that are interlinked even though we might see them as separate issues.

Re: Carers under 30...

Yes @Former-Member
Ive realised how much stuff ive been holding on to for so long and just scrapin that little bit i think that volcano has erupted and itll be a long while before im going to get better

Re: Carers under 30...

It's OK to feel nervous about it @Former-Member my chickadee. It is not an easy thing to trust the process when there is discomfort involved. It is like physio for an injury, if you do the work and battle through the pain, the reward is there. When talking major injury it is a gruelling process.
