Carers under 30...

Im just wondering if theres any young carers on here?
Im 20 and would love to have people around this age bracket to talk to.

Re: Carers under 30...

You are still young @Former-Member, caring does not have to be your life career.
If you could do anything you wanted, what would it be.

Re: Carers under 30...

I dont know @Former-Member
I like being a carer but i think its taking its toll on me abit esp mentally when im the one who gets in trouble or gets the blame or gets yelled at whem he should be talking to my mum about his problem with her. Not yelling at me for her mistakes

@Former-Member
Being a carer is hard work especially when it is a family member we care for, we often feel unappreciated.

Re: Carers under 30...

Yeah i guess your right @Former-Member

How do i cope with it? What do you do to reduce the toll it takes on you?

Re: Carers under 30...

Also @Former-Member how have you been going?

Re: Carers under 30...

@Former-Member

There are times when coping is difficult.

The most important thing is that I intentionally love the person I care for very much. This means that I chose to love him even when the going is rough. I know Mr Darcy is my husband not my Pop, but there have been many times I have felt more like his mother than his lover...

Get that self care happening. Don't let their ups and downs become your ups and downs too.

If you want to vent here, just say so, tell me you want to have a bi%#h and you are not looking for advice ...

I suspect you are feeling a bit delicate, I can hold your hand for half an hour .
