Hello

Hello

Hello @Shaz51 @Naturelover @ChasingSunsets @TAB @MissGremlin and everyone. Sorry I can't remember a lot of usernames and I'm not sure notifications are working.

Sending greetings and commiserations. My account has had some bugs - still does - but I'd like to share group 🫂 hugs

Re: Hello

Hugs 🫂 @EternalFlower It's very sad you don't feel as safe or confident about posting. I for one miss you when it goes a while without hearing from you.

I think you made the right decision with that support worker. You have needs and boundaries and it's awful she had that experience but hopefully she'll get any help she needs outside of leaning on her clients.

I'm not confident of being "fixed" in 5 or 6 sessions. I'm seeing a psychologist for therapy and sometimes wonder about calling a helpline as I go such a long time between speaking to anyone.

Always happy to see you, and good luck with finding that elusive ideal support worker. I read Careseekers are launching a new app, it might be worth looking at, although they're smaller than Mable.

Re: Hello

Hey @Dimity just wanted to add to your convo with @EternalFlower, on my peers support googling recently I did see this, https://www.lifeline.org.au/get-help/national-services/efriend

don’t know too much about it and haven’t contacted them myself but it was just a resource I didn’t know existed so thought I’d share 🙏

Re: Hello

Escalated... good luck. With you in spirit @Chasingsunsets . You're a highlight here, so fingers crossed it's all good.

Good pic of tree and moon. Moons go all fuzzy on my cheapish Samsung. And I can't get sunsets.

I've done half my exercises and recovered so will try to finish them.

I was supposed to go back to the exercise physiologist weeks ago. I'll try to get back on track before making another appt.

Some spiders have spectacular webs. St Andrews Cross for one, another is Golden Orb but I might have the name wrong, I think it's a Nephila. I'll look out for the pic when it's approved.

My reply box has covered your post so I can't remind myself if you slept well last night. Hope you did.

Re: Hello

It's a brand new season for the nectarines @Chasingsunsets . Bare branches in winter, flowers finishing now, leaves just coming, if there's enough bees the fruit will set and be ripe in mid Summer.

Re: Hello

@Chasingsunsets @EternalFlower thanks I might explore eFriend further but your link took me to through to another page that said Black Dog Institute were trialling it in 2022 so dunno if it's still current. I'll let you know if I can find further info.

Re: Hello

Ah thanks @Dimity, you are also a highlight here 🤗. Don’t really know what to expect but that’s alright. No idea of the structure of the place either so where it goes and what happens is all learning for me I guess.

Well done on your exercises! I managed to get the band out of the car but didn’t start them but I am going to start now as I am typing ☺️ what do you have left to finish with your exercises?

yeah I did sleep well actually! Didn’t wake until after midday! Feel better today flat but better, how did you sleep?

oh that’s disappointing re the link sorry about that I’ll also do some digging around as-well, a shame if no longer.

Re: Hello

Re: Hello

@Dimity @EternalFlower Also why I was doing my exercises I did some more digging as I see why you mean goes to lifeline then the link takes you to black dog. Confusing. Not sure if it’s functioning but did find this link of another of somewhere else that came up-

Re: Hello

Re: Hello

Hey @EternalFlower, thank you for reaching out to the Forums and sharing your experiences!

I thought I would just chime in here to clarify some points about RecoveryClub (RC) and the Forums :)

RC is the program that we offer support to the community throughout Australia, and it is for 6 months with 5 1:1 sessions over the phone. We encourage everyone to schedule one 1:1 session in a two-week period so that there is time for you to work towards your goals and follow up on any next steps that are identified in the session.

The Forums in a place for peer-to-peer connection to share experiences and provide and seek support with the community. There are a lot of members (47,612) and you also don't need to register with RC to view and read on the Forums. There have always been new members and people reading posts, so it is not something that has recently changed.

As moderators our role is to keep the community safe and recovery orientated by moderating within the Guidelines that everyone has access to https://saneforums.org/articles/community-guidelines without judgement or bias. We also encourage connection between members and keep content relevant to the community's needs.

I encourage you to continue to connect with your peers and share your experiences with the communtiy!

Take care
