Riding a wave

Riding a wave

Hi all,

@CherryBomb, @Former-Member or any other @Former-Member floating around Forum Land, will you ride a wave with me? I thought I would be fine doing something...but it turns out that the something has made my big feelings BIG and now I'm in a pickle...and there's nothing worse than a pickled turtle! I'm going to go and snuggle in my bed so I probably won't actually respond to you, but it will still super help me to know that I am not utterly alone on the wave. I don't want to tag anyone else because I don't want anyone to feel they need to respond. Thank you in advance for riding with me.

Looking good @Catcakes! Purple is a bit of a special colour for many here.

Having a lazy day here too 🙂

Good to see you exploring the forum. There's so much to see and be part of if you'd like here

@CheerBear,
I would have preferred one of my own pics but it wouldn’t upload so purple musical notes it must be.
Using my phone.
My eldest is finishing up his pHd
And his computer was failing him so I gave him mine.
He’s putting it to good use 😊

Re: Riding a wave

I use my phone for the forum most of the time too @Catcakes. It can be easier in a way but a bit harder with photos and links etc.

Definitely sounds like your computer is being put to good use! Wow 🙂

Hi @Catcakes,

It is super nice to see you out here on the ocean today. I enjoyed hanging out with you at Friday Feast last night. I tend to not be in Forum Land so much over the weekend, but will definitely reappear on Monday. By the way, I noticed that you mentioned you have back pain. Me too! Do you do yoga? We have a yoga thread here and we are currently focusing on poses that are good for sore backs. You are very welcome to join us.

The ocean certainly varies between super nice and calm, to extremely tumultuous. It is currently extremely stormy in my world, but the storm won't last forever. I'm ok with not being able to touch the bottom because, well, I'm a sea turtle. I do super like knowing that someone is watching over the ocean though.

I hope you are having a nice weekend @Catcakes. Oh by the way, I noticed that when you tag people, you are putting a space between the @ symbol and their name. Make sure you don't leave a space, otherwise the tag won't work. Don't worry, you'll get the hang of it soon enough.

Re: Riding a wave

Good evening @CheerBear @Zoe7 @Former-Member @Faith-and-Hope,

This is so so so SO hard. I seem to be feeling more disconnected from everyone each day that the muddle goes on. I know that the shift from sleeping in the underwater cave to sleeping alone out on the ocean, is my brain's way of processing the massive rupture that has happened in my sense of connection and safety here. I'm so scared that this muddle is never going to be unmuddled. I so badly want to talk about it. I so badly NEED to talk about it. I feel SO confused and SO alone. I super wish I could talk it out. I wish you could know what happened that night that sent things from being a big storm to being an absolute tsunami. I so very very badly wish I could talk it through with someone.

Anyway, super big thank you for being around. @CheerBear I have a Ty turtle.

Nine sleeps now. We are down to single figures!!!! Does anyone have any suggestions for another story I could add to my playlist?

Night.

Re: Riding a wave

@Phoenix_Rising - I am so sad to think of you feeling more disconnected each day 🙁 There will be a pocket in a cave at the bottom of the ocean ready and waiting.

I wish I could fast forward 9 sleeps for you. I really really do.

I thought I broke my bones today fishing out some little balls and a book called "If I was a Banana" from the under the lounge today. I wanted to share it with you because it was for a super one (but that's a secret). And it has banana in the title. It's not a funny one but it's pretty sweet.

Missing you lots but waiting with you for as long as you need.

Night.

Re: Riding a wave

Funny you should ask, @Phoenix_Rising. I've just been trawling YouTube for something to leave here for you, but you beat me to it.

Have you read Can't You Sleep, Little Bear? by Martin Waddell? This one makes me a little bit sad, but in a happy way. It reminds me of a certain care bear and her LF.

I know the muddle is super, SUPER hard. I wish more and more every day for that wand or genie (or just for NikNik to get home). You're doing such a good job of sitting on a the pause button. It makes me sad that you're feeling disconnected. Your 'like' last night made a huge difference for me and made me feel super connected. I wish I could return the favour. Thank you for being you, @Phoenix_Rising. I hope you get some sleep tonight. 🌷🐢
