Something’s not right

Riding a wave

Riding a wave

Hi all,

@CherryBomb, @Former-Member or any other @Former-Member floating around Forum Land, will you ride a wave with me? I thought I would be fine doing something...but it turns out that the something has made my big feelings BIG and now I'm in a pickle...and there's nothing worse than a pickled turtle! I'm going to go and snuggle in my bed so I probably won't actually respond to you, but it will still super help me to know that I am not utterly alone on the wave. I don't want to tag anyone else because I don't want anyone to feel they need to respond. Thank you in advance for riding with me.

Re: Riding a wave

I am not ok with what has happened either @Phoenix_Rising - REALLY NOT OK - far from it I am not sure that I can sit with it as it is for 2 more weeks - I understand that nothing will even begin to be sorted until NikNik is back but my feelings around what has happened are not going to just disappear. I will try to not further add to your muddle though little turtle. It may be a case (for me) that I stay away from forumland for a while. All I can promise is that I can take it day by day and see what happens - and that has to be enough!

Re: Riding a wave

Being in the waiting place is super SUPER hard, @Phoenix_Rising. But you know one cool thing … we’re here with you in the waiting place. We’re doing this super hard waiting thing together but not. And you’re right—we’ve totally got this.

P.S. I love your giant pause button. Maybe we can pile all of the toys in the underwater cave on top of it, and then snuggle into the toys just to make extra sure it stayed pressed while we're waiting?

@Former-Member this little flutterby is disappointed that you may not be able to 'make images' with her and @Phoenix_Rising

Re: Riding a wave

@Zoe7 My feelings superly duperly aren't going to disappear either. I have super giant feelings. I am not going to push my feelings away or pretend that this is all ok when it isn't. I'm just going to sit with the feelings and ride the waves of them. I will be superly duperly sad if you feel you need to stay away from Forum Land until NikNik gets home (or for any length of time really). But at the same time, I totally understand why you might do that and it is a totally ok thing to do (though secretly, I super want to learn to make pictures).

I feel super scared and super angry. But I trust NikNik. This muddle is too big for a little melted snowflakey banana headed turtle. I don't know what to do, so I am going to do nothing. I am simply going to wait for NikNik to come home.

@Former-Member I super like the idea of piling all the soft toys onto the pause button. Hopefully that might cause a gigantic pause to happen right across Forum Land. That would be super. I am going to try my very best to stay on pause irrespective of what others choose to do...but it would definitely make life easier if the entire situation was on pause.

Re: Riding a wave

I've just googled and there is no Publisher for Mac, but I may be able to find an alternative. I'll see what I can come up with, @Zoe7. I'll still tag along for the ride (if that's okay), even if I can't play. 😊

Re: Riding a wave

I know you will respect whatever decision I make @Phoenix_Rising. I am not convinced that even some time is going to reduce my anger here - it isn't the first time I have been asked to 'let it go' or it is 'a tricky one' - way to feel totally invalidated! I will try to sit with it over the weekend though and if I still have the same feelings after 2 days then I will make a decision then as to how I will further proceed.

@Former-Member I will do some research also to see if there is a mac way to do the images - just for you .
