Something’s not right

Riding a wave

Riding a wave

Hi all,

@CherryBomb, @Former-Member or any other @Former-Member floating around Forum Land, will you ride a wave with me? I thought I would be fine doing something...but it turns out that the something has made my big feelings BIG and now I'm in a pickle...and there's nothing worse than a pickled turtle! I'm going to go and snuggle in my bed so I probably won't actually respond to you, but it will still super help me to know that I am not utterly alone on the wave. I don't want to tag anyone else because I don't want anyone to feel they need to respond. Thank you in advance for riding with me.

Re: Riding a wave

There really isn't much skill needed at all @Former-Member - just a lot of steps to go through - so it is more time than skill (but shhhh don't tell anyone or my 'superpower' will be found out lol)

@Former-Member Thankyou for your patience and support (and @Former-Member ) - a difficult position for all to be in here. I hope you both have a relaxing weekend and can forget about this muddle

Your secret is safe with me, @Zoe7. 😊 (I still think we'll have to wait and see if I can pull it off though.)

Do you have a PC or mac @Former-Member

Re: Riding a wave

I recently switched to a Mac, @Zoe7 but Google is great at telling me how to do PC things the Mac way. 😊

Re: Riding a wave

oh dear @Former-Member - you need Windows and Publisher - not sure how to do it on a Mac

Re: Riding a wave

I'm back @Zoe7 @Former-Member and @CheerBear.

@CheerBear Please do not post while under the influence!!! Disappear back under that like button right now!

@Zoe7 and @Former-Member I see you are laughing at the Aspie who is sitting there going what...what did I say that was so funny. Really, you are both as bad as K and my turtle whisperer!!!!

Anyway...so...I had a phone call, and then I rushed out and bought this:

I am superly duperly hurt and superly duperly confused. Nothing about this muddle makes sense to me. But realistically, it isn't going to get fixed until NikNik gets home. Waiting is HARD. It is so so so SO HARD. I was all set to wait this afternoon and then I got hit with another random unexpected change by way of the guidelines being edited. That wasn't ok.

I am not ok with what has happened in Forum Land in the past week. I am really really really not ok with it. But I am going to choose to press this super cool pause button on trying to unmuddle the muddle, until NikNik gets home. This is going to be HARD. So so so SO hard. But I am going to do it because I truly believe that Forum Land is the most amazing resource, and right now, it seems that all my attempts to unmuddle the muddle are just making the muddle bigger.

I am in THE WAITING PLACE for two whole weeks. That's a loooooooong time - but perfectly doable. This entire situation super super super sucks...but I choose to hit the pause button until NikNik comes home.

@Zoe7 @Former-Member @CheerBear I'm super hoping that you will join me in hitting the pause button so that we can practice our waiting skills together. This is hard. This is so so SO hard. But it is not forever. It is just until NikNik gets home. That gives us lots of time to manage our big feelings so that we can use our calm voices to talk about the muddle. We can do this. We've got this.

Maybe I've just been saved from humilating myself, @Zoe7. 😁 I miss Publisher. I used to have it years ago and used it all the time—though never for super creative pictures. I'll just have to keep admiring yours. 😊 And the work of a certain clever turtle when she learns to whip them up. 😊

Re: Riding a wave

@Zoe7 I have to say, giving @Former-Member and I picture-making lessons sounds like an excellent way to pass the time in the waiting place! I'm pretty sure there are Mac-substitutes for all the microsoft office programs.
