Something’s not right

Riding a wave

Riding a wave

Hi all,

@CherryBomb, @Former-Member or any other @Former-Member floating around Forum Land, will you ride a wave with me? I thought I would be fine doing something...but it turns out that the something has made my big feelings BIG and now I'm in a pickle...and there's nothing worse than a pickled turtle! I'm going to go and snuggle in my bed so I probably won't actually respond to you, but it will still super help me to know that I am not utterly alone on the wave. I don't want to tag anyone else because I don't want anyone to feel they need to respond. Thank you in advance for riding with me.

Re: Riding a wave

@Zoe7 Story listening.

I agree that these issues need to be taken up with @Former-Member. That's what I THOUGHT was going to happen today. I will (hopefully) be at my volunteering gig tomorrow and then it will be the weekend. Thus, there is no hope of any further discussion of this with suzanne until at least Monday. It super feels like this giant muddle (and my amazingly broken brain) simply isn't a priority.

Re: Riding a wave

I’m okay thanks @Zoe7. I’m just having a cuddle with Edie-Cat. How are you holding up?

Re: Riding a wave

Just! @Former-Member Toby has come and snuggled in with me - so we both have our fur babies for cuddles.

Going to stick around until we hear from little turtle and then I will need some time away!

What are your plans tonight?

Re: Riding a wave

@Zoe7 @Former-Member @CheerBear I feel eleventy billion times better now after getting to talk it out to a human being (at least, I assume she is a human being ). I got a "good job" for managing to bring my big voice under control with slow breathing (and maybe a bit of making weird noises). Well done me!!!!!! But guess what? It took me so long to regulate my big feelings that I forgot what I wanted to say in my big voice! It came back though after a little while. I think it is ok to share that bit of the call - I super hope so.

It is totally ok for everyone to head off if they want to. I know this is superly duperly hard. I will be hanging out here in the cave for a while yet, but I am super settled now and I am totally ok being here by myself. Super big thank you for being you.

Re: Riding a wave

Yay Toby. 💚 Thank goodness for our fur babies, @Zoe7. I won’t be doing much tonight. Trying to stay quiet and calm. Earlier tonight I started trying to write about what’s been going on for me this week. I may get back to that … or not. I’ll see how I go.

I’d like to see a little turtle all tucked up in her shell, ready for sleeping, before I go anywhere. I'll be online for a few hours yet though.🌷
