Tooky History: Clipart but potentially triggering

Tooky History: Clipart but potentially triggering

This is a little project I did earlier this week, inspired by @Faith-and-Hope on one of the art threads, also @Appleblossom and Sherry, and some others on the Carers side.

The story "reads" left to right line by line as you would a book.

Some will "get it" some probably won't but nonetheless, it depicts my "black hole" story and everything in it is chosen or placed deliberately. It's supposed to be a side by side trilogy but in this format it's the three sequential pages so the pics in the collage can be seen.

It's a little scary posting it because it means something to me but well here it is anyhow.

Re: Tooky History: Clipart but potentially triggering

was it you that said you were supposed to stop looking at the negatives? I think you are looking for a negative that isn't there @Former-Member I think your boat is in a better place but you just have to recognise it.

Re: Tooky History: Clipart but potentially triggering

I don't think I would have said that @Former-Member lol.

I really like the idea of little boat needing tk just stay put for a bit and find where it's come from and where it's heading

Re: Tooky History: Clipart but potentially triggering

what if just over the horizon is a beautiful island? Full of cocnut trees, gentle breezes and lots of fresh fruit and a waterfall that gives clear fresh water? What if because you are thinking it's a bad place you don't find that island because you don't bother to look or let the boat go there? @Former-Member

Re: Tooky History: Clipart but potentially triggering

I think the horizon is amazing and full of wonderful things. I want lb (little boat) to be able to get there again. But I'm not sure if the damage to the actual boat itself will allow for anymore sailing to anywjere ever again

@Former-Member someone said today that their psychologist had given them an exercise to instead come up with 5 postives instead of negatives or something like that.. it's on the coffee/tea thread.. I'm going to have a look... while you think about your boat and what actually might be going on with it. 😛

Re: Tooky History: Clipart but potentially triggering

I think I need some hardcore brain operation or something to rewire it all @Former-Member. Or maybe a total brain transplant. Is that a thing?

Re: Tooky History: Clipart but potentially triggering

nah I can't find it @Former-Member but anyhow.. someone said it.. and it's kind of applicable to you and your boat. Because I honestly think that instead of just waiting... and looking around and appreciating where you are gaining.... or where your boat came from.. you are trying to push it somewhere that right now it doesn't want to go. That you are supposed stop here for a bit... smell the roses.. or the sea breeze as the case may be.. and when it is ready it will find the island or whatever is next on it's journey.

Re: Tooky History: Clipart but potentially triggering

no.. you are not needing a brain transplant thing... lol.. although I am not saying I haven't thought the same from time to time in earlier days @Former-Member you just need some neuroplasticity exercises to change the way your brain is working. That's all! That's not as hard as it sounds.. well it is because it takes practice.. but it sure isn't as difficult as a brain transplant! 😛

Re: Tooky History: Clipart but potentially triggering

I think I have to admit to myself that you're right. Boat is needing to stop for a while. Maybe patch itself back up while enjoying the breeze or roses (in the middle of the ocean?!). Then work out where to head again.

It hurts a lot @Former-Member. I think you get that though so i don't need to say it again to you.

Thank you for helping little boat not sink too much further tonight. I fought it for a while and took a chance you were around and might have something that could help and I'm really thankful
