Depression- Really Struggling- may be triggering

Depression- Really Struggling- may be triggering

I realise how little i mean to people. i mean nothing.
its abit like walking down a long dark street never knowing when a light might flick on to show me the way or give me some hope.
im tired of trying. tired of hoping. tired of coping. tired of exisiting. tired of breathing. i think im done.
dear everyone that knows me, im sorry im such a disapointment. im sorry i cant live up to your expectations. im sorry i was born. im sorry if ive hurt you. im sorry if ive made you miserable. i deserve all the blame and hatred i have gotten. everything is my fault and im sorry.
im locked within the walls of my own minds and i just cant escape it.
Pain. Pain all the time. It runs through my veins a fast flowing river with nothing there to stop it.
Just get over it they say. i wish i could, im living minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day. im struggling with memories that haunt me everyday and i dont think they will ever fade.
my thoughts are overwhelming and what hurts me the most is when people pretend to care but really they dont.
im so scared. things just arent the same anymore. im not doing anything right anymore. ive lsot myself, the person i once knew isnt here anymore. i dont know what to do anymore. i feel like i dont belong here or in reality. no where. i have constant feelings of being unworthy and hopeless, of being a prisioner in my own body.
i have so much pain physically and mentally. i try to stay happy. i try to keep smiling. i try to be brave. i try to be stong. i try to act like everything is ok but im far from it.
i never know when im going to have a 'good' day and at any minute im triggered and takes such a long time to recover.
there are monsters living inside me, attacking me, ripping me apart from the inside. i dont think its ever going to end
but its ok "ill just have to get over it" just as expected

It is hard changing but I think it's harder staying with someone who isn't working well @Former-Member.

Hi @Former-Member

I am sure your mother your mother will not change - and this will hurt - my mother was really abusive phycially toward my brother and me - when we were older it was emotional abuse

But she cares about your sisters - that is good for them - but a lot of your sorrow must originate there

I am sure no woman wants to be sexually abused - you are not responsible for that and so glad you didn't get pregnant - that must be a hard thing to deal with

When our mothers seem to be uncaring - it's better not to try and tell them anything - and it seems you have and have had a lot of health issues - and your mother doesn't believe in you or that you have them - which is why I think she thinks you are hypochondrical - I don't btw - I have heard a lot through the last years by being in support groups and I guess I know the truth when I hear it -

I believe in you - and yes - having so many different therapists so close together would be very difficult and something to think a lot about

And I do wish you the best with that

Re: Depression- Really Struggling- may be triggering

thankyou @Owlunar it seems you have so much knowledge and it means alot to me that your sharing it with me. my mother doesnt know about the abuse and im not going to tell her that either. im just going to keep truging along and when she sasy get out of your mood ill just ignore her. weve had countless arguments about this and i cant take it anymore.

i dont know any other 20yr old having to cope with all this thats why i wish she would give me a break every now and then

and thank you @Owlunar for believing me

also i tagged you in the study thread hopefully you got that

Re: Depression- Really Struggling- may be triggering

Hi again @Former-Member

I do understand - I have had decades of experience - when I first joined the Forum I called myself Decadian because it was 3 decades since my son died - and I changed it to Dec when I had a computer glitch -

Personally - it would not be a good idea to tell your other about what happened to you - she does not sound caring - and my mother punished me when some teenage girls were (it's hard to think of a good word) - let's say they interferred with me and my mother found out of course - and those girls were right - she did not believe me - but then I don't think she ever sent me to be looked after by those girls again - this was when I was about 3 or 4

And as an adult - no - she did not seem to care - I think she did - but her behaviour was so unpleasant I stayed away for years at a time - so yes - I have an idea about what happens and it is pretty rough

But you are only 20 - you seem much older - I would imagine you have had a lot of experience yourself in such a short time - and really - she could give you a break - but that is something really hard -

I am sharing some of my life - I do understand - and the best way to tell you I understand is to say - yes - I believe in your because this happened to me - and it does hurt when our parents don't help us out - my Dad cared more - he was my hero

I will look for your study thread

Re: Depression- Really Struggling- may be triggering

I wasn't really sure how to answer your question @Former-Member, and I had a bit going on in my own corner last night, so I sat back to see how other people answered you, and they have basically said what I was thinking .... you have little control at this stage about changing psychologists while you are having to accept what services are available to you, so it becomes a matter of making the best of it that you can.

I was pleased to hear that this latest session with your psych was productive, because the sessions will be limited, so it is important that they be as effective as you can manage.

Once you have told your story a couple of times, it might be worth writing it in a few dot points, exactly as you have laid it out for @Owlunar just now, and let the therapist you are speaking to ask for more details about whichever dot points they feel are the ones to be dealing with first or more intensely.

When you first meet someone new, it becomes about clear communication, so the first few appointments are not clouded with trying to get the story out there, if you can do that on the first day, as difficult as it is .... but that is what is going to give you the greatest gains from therapy.

And you have this thread, and forum friends to do a bit of a "debrief" with, as you have seen others do on the forums .... just being heard is worth so much ... !

💙💕
