@Mustang67 it is so good you are laying things on the line with your partner. not putting up with rubbish. i had menopause early too due to a hysterectomy because of my endo. that was one of the best things that happened no more periods! honestly being a woman can be one trial after another.

@Bunniekins that's what I like to hear. If simple things make you happy then that is great, because you don't need much to be happy.

I love the smell of the flowers when they start blooming in spring and that makes me happy. So does hearing babies and children laugh.

@Mustang67 ooohh that is so sweet! yes i love the smell and appearance of flowers in spring too. i used to go to floriade every year when we lived in canberra. happy children and babies are delightful.

@Bunniekins having no periods is the best thing ever. I love the fact that I don't have to go through that every month.

I have been through 3 different abusive relationships, and now that I have learnt why I choose these types of people, I know what to look for. And I have learnt to put my boundaries in place. And I'd be fu*ked if I let another male put their hands on me without repercussions. He definitely knows that this is not going to be put up with.

I asked him today when he was going to address his drinking issues, and he replied, that he has more issues than just his drinking that he has to deal with. He said he is not right in the head, and he needs to sort it out. I really wish he would seek some professional advice. He has done it before, and it really helped him become a much better person. But unfortunately, he is slipping back into old habits, that need to be addressed.

I might look up some people in the area and give him the numbers.

@Mustang67 3 different abusive relationships is alot to have dealt with. good you have boundaries now set in place. keep safe sweetheart. it never ceases to amaze me that people feel they have the right to treat those closest to them so badly.

@Bunniekins I know. I can't understand why these people think they can hurt the person that they love. Yes, people argue, but if you are getting that mad that you want to say something extremely hurtful or physical hurt the person, WALK AWAY. It's that simple.

@Mustang67 yes walk away! my dad once threw a glass of red wine in my face i will never forget it. he took so much pleasure in it. i had a jaded view of men for years because of him.

@Bunniekins some men still have a long way to come. They still think like the men did in the 1900, and they think they can treat us like sh*t.

Men can be so cruel at times. Did that impact you in your early relationships?
