Something’s not right

Does it ever stop

Does it ever stop

Hey - I feel like I can’t escape how I feel, how I react to things, how flashbacks and people I see that have caused me trauma in the past and present. I feel like I’m just trapped in it some days constantly and that it just wants to stay and haunt me and not leave.

my house mates have been arguing constantly and it got to a point tonight where I yelled at them to stop as it is getting annoying as it’s nearly everyday and it never stops. Then one of them had a go at me and started yelling and telling me that it’s the other persons fault when it wasn’t even them. It’s just a constant run around and I can’t seem to escape it.

im just now curled up on my bed in tears because I’m so triggered and I don’t know what or how I’m feeling.

im safe

but it’s just bringing up all my past all over again.

Hey @Anonymouse1000 @tyme @Snowie @rav3n @AlwaysMyself @Shaz51 @Jynx @Anastasia @outlander @Jacques @Zoe7 @creative_writer - hope your day is well,

planning to keep low key as I’m not feeling great mentally and I just need to stay hidden away to recoup.

Re: Does it ever stop

@Snowie - my head is so loud, I’m blasting my music to try and drown out the chatter in my head, it’s so not fair. It’s also really overwhelming and upsetting. Because it causes more distress.

I get that loudness @Fluttershy1 I have it too.

I find sometimes trying to control it, quieten it, makes me more stressed.

It's hard to know what to do at times.

Re: Does it ever stop

@Snowie - I just feel like I need to control it otherwise I feel like I’m just going to spiral more and more but I know that it is only going to make me worse sometimes. It also makes me more overwhelmed and then I just completely break because I am not sure what to do and how to help myself and then how do I cope to regulate myself again.

am safe

I wish I could help you @Fluttershy1 give you some answers.

Have you ever tried writing all your thoughts down. Getting them out of your head, getting them down on paper. Then ripping up that paper, tearing it into pieces and throwing it out.

This can help me at times. Not all the time, but can help.

Just a suggestion.

Yeh but landed in ER and they didn’t want to help, so now I’ve gone to Kmart hoping to not cry in front of everyone @Snowie - I’ve never struggled so much, it isn’t fair. Neither are my thoughts they just told me I’d be fine and go home. I’ll be safe

Re: Does it ever stop

I'm sorry this is the case for you @Fluttershy1

I hope you get what you need at kmart

I don't find ER very helpful either. Can be very dismissive.
