Something’s not right

Does it ever stop

Does it ever stop

Hey - I feel like I can’t escape how I feel, how I react to things, how flashbacks and people I see that have caused me trauma in the past and present. I feel like I’m just trapped in it some days constantly and that it just wants to stay and haunt me and not leave.

my house mates have been arguing constantly and it got to a point tonight where I yelled at them to stop as it is getting annoying as it’s nearly everyday and it never stops. Then one of them had a go at me and started yelling and telling me that it’s the other persons fault when it wasn’t even them. It’s just a constant run around and I can’t seem to escape it.

im just now curled up on my bed in tears because I’m so triggered and I don’t know what or how I’m feeling.

im safe

but it’s just bringing up all my past all over again.

@Fluttershy1 haha oh silly Nova. Glad you've been doing crochet.

I've been doing my diamond art mostly. Finished one last night which I'll try to share today and started another one

Hi @Nala2022,

she got put in time out last night because she was being very naughty, only for a little bit though, she went into the crate. But apart from that she’s been good.

I’ve just been trying to put myself first as things have been rocky and I have needed stability and my face to face supports.

so that’s been helping

Re: Does it ever stop

Sometimes tough love is needed so they learn but they bounce back quickly! I used to do the same for Nala. She's sleeping now and snoring lol

It's great to hear you're putting yourself first, that's a big win and you should be proud of yourself @Fluttershy1

I hope things get even more better for you as the days go on. You're never alone here either 💛

Thanks @Nala2022 - sometimes I feel very alone, I keep trying and trying but sometimes I fall back down and I gotta pick myself back up.

im trying to be proud of myself but its hard at the same time.

Re: Does it ever stop

I get that @Fluttershy1. Even when you know you're not truly alone, when you're the one going through it, it can still feel like a really lonely place to be.

It's okay to have setbacks, there's no perfect way to do this. Try to remind yourself that every time you've been knocked down, you've found a way to get back up again.

You're stronger and more resilient than you probably give yourself credit for 💛

Re: Does it ever stop

Awwww thanks @Nala2022 - are you around for much longer?

I just feel like it’s a constant battle you know, I also am fighting with my eating dis*rd*r I keep losing weight and my GP is worried about it, I have no care factor, I am really insecure about my body image etc.

Re: Does it ever stop

I'll be around until 2pm @Fluttershy1 😊

I know it can feel like a constant battle sometimes, especially when it feels like you're carrying multiple things at once. You're trying your best, and that's more than enough

I'm sorry to hear you're struggling so much with your ED and body image. That sounds like a really difficult thing to be sitting with.

Please try to be gentle with yourself. The fact that you're talking about it and being open about what's going on is important

Has your GP referred you to a specialist or ED support service, or do you already have supports around you for this?

Re: Does it ever stop

@Nala2022 - I have been referred to a dietitian but we are just about to finish up as I have had her for 2 years and it’s through the hospital. So it triggers me every time I walk into there, I dodged my last appointment as I have gone downhill, am scared of that place.

Re: Does it ever stop

I'm sorry to hear that @Fluttershy1

When a place scares you, it's always hard to go back.

Do you know what the plan is once you finish up with the dietitian, or has anyone spoken with you about ongoing support options?

I'm glad you're talking about it here rather than holding it all on your own
