Thank you everyone, I really appreciate your advice and all the encouragement. It means a lot to me. 😊
I’ve just completed my first proper on-site induction, and it went much better than I expected. I still can’t quite believe I’ve finally got a job especially one that actually excites me. I went in that morning feeling hopeful and left quite tired, but excited.
I wasn’t sure what to expect going into a completely new field, but I wanted to give it a go. What made the day even better was that I felt like I could be myself. I didn’t feel judged or pressured to be someone else, which helped me feel more calm, I’ve started to notice that if I get a chance to be in a supportive environment, I’m able to relax more and don’t constantly feel like I need to scan everything around me. I also met some of my team leaders, who were genuinely happy to have me onboard, which was really encouraging.
Now it’s on to more training, and then I’ll be starting buddy shifts...I really think maybe...maybe this can be something for me.. I haven't felt this for a very, very long time... I don't quite want to believe it just yet, but I am hopeful that's all I can say. 🙏💙
