Cuddlebears Space

Cuddlebears Space

Hello everyone I’ve made a space here.

I’ve been having a really rough time. I have experienced a lot of trauma and abuse since childhood. I’ve been on forums for a while now and thought to start a thread so that my journey and anyone that cares to see how I’m going and offer support or advice can find me here.

I have complex ptsd, anxiety and severe depression with anhedonia. I’m currently tapering antidepressant and it’s been brutal.

I am really struggling everyday and can’t find ways to feel better. I’ve tried so many things.

I am having daily panic attacks, my body shutdown and I am so lonely with very little support. There’s a real heavy darkness around me I feel so unloved and worthless. I can’t do basic things like shower, eat, clean and going out is very very hard. I have no purpose or meaning though I try to create it but nothing works.

More recently I’ve experienced passive SI and sometimes more active. The tapering I believe has caused these symptoms. I’m safe.

Im finding it hard to write this all up. I hope it gives you some insight. @MissGremlin @AlwaysMyself@Chasingsunsets

@tyme Hello my friend how are you?

That was good advice given by the APARC worker. I think for me I am trying to learn to live with these symptoms but other disabilities also prevent me from doing many things that others can do. The deaf/blind with part foot amputation and chronic illness really create disabling environments. My options become really limited. It’s hard to overcome because these are things outside my circle of control. I want society to be accessible but it’s not. 😞 It’s one of the reasons I feel so defeated and that things won’t change.

Very hard. 😞

Hey @Cuddlebear ,

Thanks for sharing. I hear you about your physcial disabilities stopping you from doing a lot of things. Yet in my heart of hearts, I feel a flicker of determination that you WILL find a way to do what you want. Yes, it will be a challenge, but you will feel more of a victory when you give it a go!

I totally recognise Australia has a long way to go in terms of accessibility, yet there have been changes and improvements.

Do you have someone who can go with you or take you places?

Looking forward to hearing from you and I hope your week has been okay so far.

Re: Cuddlebears Space

@tyme Hello lovely how are you?

I only have support worker 9 hours a week. The way I am at the moment I have no joy or motivation. I go to activities where I can’t hear what people are sayings be can’t see well making the experience frustrating. I keep trying hoping some joy will come.

Other than that I don’t have anyone. It’s so hot at the moment going out alone with my guide dog is hard due to heat. When it’s cooler I do go out more but I’m alone and feel so lonely just wandering around.

People have little patience for disabled. All community houses activities presume you are able bodied making it hard to do the activities.

Honestly I’ve tried so very hard and it makes me feel awful knowing input in so much effort with no improvement.

This then just makes me feel so worthless and unloved. My nervous system is in shutdown. I’m in panic and body feels awful with symptoms. 😞
