Talking through trauma and PTSD

The me no one knows - SI warning

The me no one knows - SI warning

I’ve made this space to have somewhere safe to talk and share things.

to chat with every one who has shown concern about and for me.

I have spent almost all my life masking, from as far back as primary school (possibly younger).

almost no one knows the real me. Not sure if I even know the real me.

my past is filled with lots of darkness. People I’ve tried to speak with during my life either don’t believe me or don’t want to know

@AlwaysMyself @Bunniekins @Captain24 @Cuddlebear @rav3n @Jynx

hiding behind the mask pretending nothing is wrong. Putting on brave face whilst inside I’m a shattered pieces. Feeling lost and completely alone. No one wants anything to do with me. Relatives only contact when they want something. Going to bed every night hoping to never wake again

Ah cheeky male kitty begging you for food @Flutterbug9 . Im glad he is a good cuddler, even if the female can be a bit clawful 😬. Im glad you have them also for company today.

I hope you can put yourself first today and give yourself the extra grace and care and compassion you need. I find premade meals or easy meals good for these days also. Reduce as much pressure, burden and responsibility as possible.

I have forgotten if you have hobbies. And if so, what they are?

Re: The me no one knows - SI warning

@Flutterbug9 I'm sorry you are feeling flat and tired. Just know that it's ok to rest and let your body get what it needs.

Being on the couch with your male next to you sounds perfect and it's exactly how I am right now, Casper curled up next to me.

Yes there's always tomorrow for the veggies, nothing wrong with frozen ones ☺️.

Oh I can relate to the claws of animals and the SH. Hugs sweet ❤️.

I really don't have any plans for the day, was thinking about starting a paint by numbers but we'll see.

Getting there with the Lego Gizmo, taking it nice and slow.

Bit of background info. That grandfather was born late 1880’s, son of farm hands. The saying I referred to was “I do the same for w. h. I. t. e. man any day”. Some of

his friends growing up where indigenous

@Flutterbug9 Hello lovely how are you?

Re: The me no one knows - SI warning

@Flutterbug9 i love your list of hobbies sweet. For me i have knitting, crochet, diamond art, painting, colouring, origami, Lego, listening to music, audiobooks and watching my comfort shows.

Animals are amazing, I've had horses, sheep, cows, alpacas, goats, geese, chickens, dogs, lizards, fish, birds and snakes. I currently have Casper (my puppy), Zola (my snake) and Birdie (my bird) ☺️.

Casper is my assistance dog in training, he's 9 months old so still very much a puppy ☺️

Re: The me no one knows - SI warning

With Casper being an assistance dog in training @MissGremlin, will he stay with you once fully trained or will he only be with you during the training period?

My only knowledge and experience with any type of assistance dog is through guide dogs and I guy I met years ago who introduced me to his 2dogs, one who was his working dog and other was his prior working dog who he kept when she was retired

Re: The me no one knows - SI warning

@Flutterbug9 When I started feeling no joy all my hobbies went in the bin. My body is frozen and I can barely function.

My pet bird is an eclectus parrot. She’s 5 years old. She’s a female.

my cat is Zeuss and Athena both 12 years old.

My fur baby doggie is my seeing guide dog he’s 2 years old and we are always together. He’s a very gentle and loving boy and a bit goofy too.
