@Cuddlebear I’ve got similar issues with body size. Decades ago I wore size ** women’s clothing, circumstances that led to me fitting that size were far from bearable. [edited by moderator] 63 this year, GI issues and OA, not a good combination for getting and keeping weight off. Being a sweet tooth also doesn’t help. For me, stress = eating chocolate.
ive never been comfortable saying or hearing discussions about female body. Was raised with various things being taboo which I think is the root. Yesterday I decided not to insert the removal padded cups into crop top styles I’ve worn for a while, immediately noticed the different. Small bumps inside of what felt like mountains. Went to Kmart and bought mix of female undergarments.
lady here (M L) made me feel welcome from first time I met her which is couple yrs ago now. Has her own MH issues and trauma background.
some of the things you mentioned about the taper resonate with me but in a different way, if that makes sense. I saw my husband go through similar conversations with general team of oncologist who came around the ward. His wasn’t taper though. His was opposite in regards to strength. He also felt he was pushed into things. After near fatal incident with him in ED I’d had enough and I stepped him, got appointment with his regular oncologist who completely cancelled all chemo (which was best decision).
it’s horrible feeling you are not listened to or being punished. Did GP provide you with an acceptable reason why he now sees you once a fortnight?
with everything you mentioned about way GP has treated you, would you want to continue having weekly appointments? (Not sure I would)
Next step will be catching up with a friend couple days after hairdresser appointment. She comes across as a ‘black or white only’ person which is 100% ok with me. I know she has very strong opinions on some things eg animal rights/cruelty. She has chosen a moderate size cafe, am hoping all goes smooth.
if you ask or say something I’m not comfortable with or has upset me, I would politely let you know.
as I’ve said to @AlwaysMyself, I don’t judge people and, majority of the time, nothing upsets or triggers me.
I hope you feel comfortable talking with me about anything.
