@Mustang67 with this furry coat am finding this hot weather unbearable! 43 degrees on friday!! too much! ridiculous! am ok otherwise slightly stressed with christmas coming.

I look forward to leaving home, actually. And sleeping somewhere else even if I have Insomnia.

When was the last time you've travelled @Jynx ?

@Mustang67 hello lovely. I’m so glad you are back home. How are you going settling back in?

I got a message from the supervisor yesterday saying this: “I'm just not sure based on everything you have shared [my name] this is the best path for you to go down - I don't want you to continue to do something you inherently disagree with the practice on and seems to be somewhat detrimental to your wellbeing - there may be other means to getting into peer work we can look into, but I'm not entirely sure if crisis support is in your best interests based on our discussions but you may feel differently on that.

so I guess it is indeed time for me to step-down/conclude/discontinue from volunteering at crisis support lol

i think I deserved it though considering how difficult it actually is to do this kind of role. Trying out some potentially challenging things is definitely not for the weak 😂😂😂

@Blackcloud You should be very proud of yourself giving it a try. There’s plenty of other types of opportunities for volunteering that you would potentially enjoy much more.

The organisation doesn’t have very good reviews from peers or volunteers either.

Im glad it’s not hot today. There’s a thunderstorm happening where I am.

@Cuddlebear @Totally! Definitely much better in finding somewhere that’s more enjoyable and easier to do where the company’s protocol aligns with your views. Was thinking about volunteering at a foodbank again after I left there early this year, but with a support worker this time. I’ll have to wait until I receive the outcome from the tribunal next year and then I’ll make the decision from there.

@FearofUnknown I guess the last time I travelled anywhere other than to my folks' place in northern NSW was when I went to Sydney for a lil work trip... but idk if that counts! Been a while since I've been anywhere exciting, hmmm maybe something needs to be done about this!!

@Blackcloud sounds like it's been a bit of a rollercoaster, how are you feeling about it all? Agree with @Cuddlebear that you can be proud of having a crack at it, and you definitely still would have learned stuff that you can take with you!!
