General chit chat

General chit chat

Hi@Faith-and-Hope, @utopia, @Mazarita

I'm still not very good at 'navagating' this site, maybe that's why I kept trying 'instant' chat sites - they seemed easier. But I like that messages can be checked, that it's not instant feels like some sort of barrier against instant shock I suppose - though I know this is a public Internet site so anyone can use it. I also think, though I hate the term Mental Illness, as I think it takes all the physical out of it, that the people that cause trauma probably suffer from it, so they would have just as much right to use it. But I feel a bit like typing I think, so I thought I might just blurb a little?
I've went away for a few days. I go every month. I visit the center of my Universe 🙂 The one person who has been there with/for me, their whole life & I believe will remain that way until I die 🙂 . . . & quite the large Family they have provided for me to share in 🙂 I go from, it almost seems like another Planet sometimes, my life is very quiet; to the center of my Universe, which includes 5 grand-children ranging in age from almost 2 to, going on 18; then there's the partner, the partners Parents and a large variety of friends 🙂 I often find myself thinking 'alein sound dimension' - there's so much noise on so many different levels! Every single one of them has every gadget known to mankind, and most of those gadgets make noise! And my World is a lot calmer, with a lot less going on - we're usually driving in the car, taking children to school, doing whatever shopping is necessary for the day in time for whatever seemingly endless appointment is due, . . . by the time my alarm goes off to make sure I wake up in time to get tired in time to go to sleep in time 😄 There's no way I could keep that pace up anymore! After a few days I find myself almost running away with my tail between my legs 🙂 But it's the perfect balance really, I do spend a lot of time alone - apart from my 3 furry, four-legged friends; but I am extremely lucky, my bond with my only child is of a strength I can't see breaking; I get a phone call or text every night & welcomed by a dozen open arms and smiling faces every month. I am lucky, I have a good life. Well, I think life is just a word, neither good nor bad. I have good experiences and I am happy 🙂

Good morning! Cool shots, @Former-Member! I especially love the creatures: eg. the cow that looks like it's about to moo, the reptile, goats. And the wild grass shot too is a favourite for some reason. What a lovely place and it looks like you were well set up too. Capability plus @Former-Member. Even though it probably didn't happen this way, I started imagining you sitting in the waterless canoe having breakfast!

Re: General chit chat

Good Morning @Mazarita 🙂 Glad you liked the photos, I kind of did have breakfast in the canoe - breakfast was a coffee 🙂 I was so outside of my safety zone, it wasn't that I was uncomfortable and by the time I'd gotten there, my panic attacks had blended into something else. I was crook a couple of times, I really get turned off eating when I'm out - and boy was I out! So the fact that all I ate was chips, chocolate and individual cheeses, probably didn't help my stomach 😉 . . . but I don't care because I got out there and I had a wonderful experience 🙂

How are you going? Has your companions work worries eased? Are your friends feeling better? Have your health symptoms gone completely? How did your Mum 'settle in' when she got home? Has your video editing project finished?

I spent all day playing with my photos yesterday, wanting to make a slide-show, but everytime I converted it to a Mpeg (I was using Powerpoint) there was a glitch with the music in the background, several little hic-ups, like a scratch in the record - very frustrating. I don't suppose you know of a good convert program that might work better, or a slide-show program that automatically times the slides to the music?

Hope your looking forward to something nice today, sending you smiles and appreciation for your friendship

Good Morning @outlander Glad you liked the photos, it was a wonderful experience for me - proved to myself that I can get out there without anything bad happening 🙂 and it was amazing that I did it! Still doesn't feel real, probably won't unless I do it a few times - that's a good reason for me to do it again somewhere down the track 🙂 Considering it was a bit over 2 hours away, it was really easy to find. Another one of my traits is to convince myself I'm lost, this began happening very soon into the journey. As soon as I got to my highway I turned left instead of right (which is the way I always go into my little town) and I was instantly in unfamiliar territory! Even though for the first half of my trip I was to stay on that highway, travelling left from my road . . . I still had several panic attacks where I believed my GPS was malfunctioning and I'd somehow taken a turn I shouldn't have (there weren't really many turns on this highway at all) and I was lost and making matters worse by simply carrying on! But logic and a bit of blind faith in technology saved me:D The journey got a little more difficult towards the end, when I turned off the bitumen and onto dirt roads, and off those to tyre track roads (where road signs are optional:D) But I found it 🙂 and it was all good 😄

How are you? I hope my little trip helps as a distraction from your negative thoughts even if just for a moment. I wish I could take you camping with me, you'd probably put me to shame with ability to cope with it all! 😄 How is your horse? - is it a he or a she, they had had a little bump with you a while ago, has that all cleared up? Have you found a solution to the bullies at the yard? (Maybe ignoring them is an option, it may still be stressful, but perhaps not as stressful as trying to fix the problem?) How's it going at the Doctors, have you finished with the tests for now?

I hope today is an easier day for you, sending you love and hugs
