Hi @heartathome, have been thinking of you this evening, thought I’d share some of the birds I have seen on our very short walk tonight + some flowers 🫶🦜

My partner had a tracheotomy put in this morning. He woke up twice in distress while I was there talking to him so they kept sedating him. I stopped talking because I didn't want to see him in distress. It was very confronting to see. They are going to try and wake him tomorrow. I'll be there although he'll be confused and probably won't know me. I'm feeling heartbroken and alone tonight. It has been a hard day! 😭

Hi @heartathome, it sounds like a really heavy day. It’s definitely not something you want to see your love one go through. He is lucky you have been there to support him. It would be super traumatic to see and worse when they are distressed 😭. Did he have the brain scan yesterday?
They say even though they are confused/distressed they can hear you even if they aren’t showing signs that they do.

to start, I heard a male fig bird on the start of our walk I was about to take a pic and he flew off, so this guy was cool too, maybe a fryer bird ! There calls are pretty sweet 💛
