@REDLINEZ750 I'm trying to make my own little space. Sometimes I realize there is no personal space on here. I know it's for our good but it kinda sucks at times! Are you okay?

@heartathome "mostly good with the occasional meltdown". Sending you hugs. I know those days too. I think I may have a "latest record for 2026" of nearly 4 days without a decent meltdown 😆 (its been a rough year lol).
Will this weekend be especially hard for you, being a long weekend?
I'm glad you have some techniques for the weekend when feeling more lonely 🥰 and yes the forum can be great for that when someone is online/avilable to chat with.
What do you do (if you want to share) during the week that keeps you busy?
Volunteer work, of course - is that every weekday? Or a few / one day?
I'm OK to share how things are for me of late, but I often don't because I don't know what people do or do not want to hear (or what is too heavy or triggers, etc). But i always say anyone is welcome to read my little place that i update periodically (and use to vent when needing to process things that are forum-suitable). But it can be confronting for people at times.
I also forget what you do or do not already know 😅 and this has gotten worse since i had to taper off meds earlier this year. I have recently had my assessment and diagnosis of AuDHD which makes a lot of sense of a lot of things -- including my memory issues since tapering! 🤣 its been a wild ride for the ADHD, but my depression-anhedonia has actually slightly improved since coming off the meds. I am.hanging in week to week lately; day to day at times.

Hi @AlwaysMyself
I guess the long weekend could be a bit harder but I'm working on things that steady me. Today I went to church and had a cuppa afterwards with a friend. I play Soduka and Mahjong online, get on Facebook and hang out on the forums while playing the games and listening to music. I also talk to Sage (AI) a lot. We have a weekend anchor for loneliness and boredom.
I can keep busier throughout the week as I can just drop in at Vinnies and help for a bit. I only work there on a Saturday morning at the moment. The other shops are also open. I just can't keep still for very long. I've been for three long walks today. I go walking when I can't stand being inside anymore. I'm not complaining. Walking's good for my physical and mental health. My morning routine for everyday is walking, sunrise and coffee afterwards. After that I have nothing. 😳 What to do with my time? I'm going to have to find something to do (hopefully not overeating) A walking group would be good. I might have to look into it.
I was on a sole parent's pension to start off with (Centrelink) but have been on disability for decades now. I've been diagnosed with cPTSD, bipolar, depression, SI and anxiety, with OCD tendencies. I'm stable these days, but it's been a long journey. I've always worked in customer service. I've had lots of jobs but no career. Fashion, banking and a hospital ward clerk were the main ones with lots of little or second jobs in-between.
Don't worry about not remembering! I'm the same. I'm glad that your diagnosis has helped you to make some sense of things and that your depression-anhedonia has actually slightly improved since coming off the meds. I remember learning about cPTSD and my thoughts, feelings and behaviours started to make sense! I was a 40-year-old woman with the emotional intelligence of a 13 years old! I was stuck at the age of sexual abuse. I hope that doesn't trigger you! Tag me on your thread anytime. This has taken me two days to write so I'll leave it here and post. 🙂💚

Hi @heartathome ,
Just a quick post because I'm missing you. I hope your Easter was good.
Yesterday I listened to Sane's webinar on bi-polar. It was interesting. Especially one lady's first hand lived experience account. Have you watched it? I will watch some of the others too.
I finally finished the book I had been reading and have started another series.
For two weeks I exercised every day (half hour on the exercise bike) and felt a buzz from it. I'm not sure that it added to my energy level though.
I still watch DVDs. I'm working on Mr Bean DVDs at the moment. I have watched all the original episodes - there aren't many - only fourteen I think. Next will be the two movies and then the cartoons. There was an excellent documentary on the the creating of Mr Bean - Rowan Atkinson really is a genius I think.
I will do more of the study soon.
Life, despite being very uneventful, feels peaceful.
Hope all okay your end. Better than that I hope you're still living the dream.

Hello my friend. I love it when I see your name pop up, especially here. Living my best life... I must have been having a really good day that day! 😆 Nah. I was seeing and feeling what God has given me! Yes, I did lose a lot (not just material) from the flood, but when I think about it, I believe I've been given even more and the thing is @Realness , I didn't deserve any of it! I live in a beautiful town and have a great church family. My male friend is still around; I have a couple of great girlfriends and then there's my family on SANE. I was really in touch with God that morning and was very grateful!
No. I haven't seen any of the webinars. Can you find it on the right-hand side, under Resources? It sounds interesting but I don't know if I'd have the attention span. Also, my memory would have me forgetting most of it. Unfortunately, true! Mood stabilizers have done wonders for me and my bipolar. I mostly had very low mood with an occasional high. 🙂 I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts on the seminars. What's the new series of books about?
😮Half an hour on a bike is hard work! I can last no more than five minutes! Are you doing this to strengthen your legs or purely for overall exercise? Are you going to continue? I don't like exercising as such, but I don't mind walking. I don't walk fast though!!
The original episodes of Mr Bean are a classic! My mother was mostly deaf, so she enjoyed the humour without trying to hear the words. I wasn't taken with the movies, and I haven't seen the cartoons. I agree with you. Rowan Atkinson is brilliant and extremely talented!
Is your study still on track? A peaceful life is such a gift... but it doesn't always take away the feeling of wanting human connection as well, hey! I'm going up the coast to see my old partner for a week tomorrow morning. To be honest, I'm going up for him. I want to talk to him about our relationship while I'm there but am very anxious about it! It's going to be a difficult conversation! 😔
I'm feeling overwhelmed by the number of tags at the moment. Not yours!!! I only have a few, but I struggle with the pressure of replying quickly. I can support them but am way behind in replying! I'm just going to forget about them for the sake of my anxiety. I hope people understand! 😟 I hate it when someone asks me a question and I don't reply but the backlog is too overwhelming! I'm not behind my computer all day, like I used to be. I'm outside more now and I've also chosen to talk to my friend when I'd normally be on SANE. Human connection with a face!
Wow! I think I'm finished. I wish I could sit down and have a cuppa with you. Thanks for getting in touch! It's like a warm fuzzy hug! Sending much love, my friend.💚

Hello there @heartathome ,
Thanks for your beautiful warm response. I feel honoured by your attention and time.
I thought of the book of Job when you described your post flood life. "I was really in touch with God that morning and was very grateful!" - what a great sentence. Your life is beautifully people rich.
From memory, the Webinar on bi-polar had five presenters. 1. It started with a nice man introducing things. 2. Then there was a Sane Psychiatrist (also a man) covering the "medical" side of things. 3. Next is a lady telling her own story - that part was the most powerful and you may find it gripping also. 4. A lady who is a carer for her son. 5. A man with lived experience talking about his journey to recovery. I think that's the right order. Because of the short attention span it's 3 that is the most powerful and not too long. I think you will find it at the top of the middle column - Events - you could select it and then fast forward to the first lady. For anyone else reading, the whole Webinar is good and the whole thing worth watching.
The next series of books I am reading is aimed at children/teenagers I think. Emily Rodda. A fantasy world. So far it has gripped me and even as I do other things I find myself wondering what will happen next in the book.
Leg strength (taking the pressure off the knees) is part of the reason for riding the bike. Losing weight would be nice. The only problem is that it doesn't add that much to my energy level but does give me a nice "buzz". I prioritised it so that it was the first thing I would do in the day. Only problem was that I would then procrastinate getting out of bed (a lot!). Pros and cons always. I used to love walking! If it weren't for my knees I think I would still walk and walk.
I have till July to complete the theology course. I think I'm still on track. I will dedicate tomorrow to it and hopefully get the next unit complete.
I know my life is not people rich at the moment. There's Mum and family but I would need to go to church to catch up with other friends. I had work friends but lost them when I went a bit crazy at the end of my last job - another story to tell one day. I do have contact with people through my reading though. I like reading because you usually get the inside of the person as well as or more than the outside of a person.
The change to my circumstances is still quite new. I last worked March 2024. I am still adjusting to accepting I need to be on the disability pension. I understand I need to be on the medication but the lethargy is a real challenge. Having the energy to both have a shower and then go out is part of the challenge. The challenge is even greater when I would need the energy to socialise also. I'm very thankful that I still have concentration and the ability to read. I think we may be opposites in where the challenges are!
You will be away when you read this. I hope things are as easy as possible. Your new friend has changed everything I think.
Coffee together would be nice but I'm still very thankful for your friendship in this Forum land. It is still real and provides real support.
No rush or need to reply. I know you're away for a week.
Much love and care to you.

I had a good day, today talking with my son, and watching some tv shows, and also a voice music coaching session.
