Heartathome

@REDLINEZ750 I'm trying to make my own little space. Sometimes I realize there is no personal space on here. I know it's for our good but it kinda sucks at times! Are you okay?

the thread is still running, so i'm not seeing any issues on our side - perhaps it's a one-off technical issue? not too sure. you're welcome to report it here if you'd like: Technical Feedback Form

@REDLINEZ750 What does an S with a line across it mean? Above it's called a strikethrough. I think it happens when you don't write anything. It's still obvious that you thought of me and I love that! I hope you have a good day, my friend!

Sending many happy hippy hugs and much love. 💚

Re: Heartathome

Hi @heartathome ,

Hello there, my friend. Just wondering how you're doing as you approach that birthday you were not looking forward to. For what it's worth I still think you are middle aged like me. Will you be going away? Will your son visit you? Do your friends know?

Are you still enjoying getting to know your new (not so new now) friend? Is he still taking up a lot of your headspace? I'm imagining that he is.

And are your daily walks still bringing you much joy. Along with church and your various groups of friends.

I hope things are going well for you. If you're working through anything at the moment (like the flood or what you shared on this Heartathome thread) I wish you healing.

As you know I was immersed in 2000 pages of the Thursday Murder Club world. I have come out of it to a small time of "grief". I miss the business and the characters. The other book by the same author has not grabbed me yet but I'm sure it will be a page turner once I read a few more chapters. I'm holding off a little because I lost track of household tasks like when I last watered the front garden. I want to invest a little time in our home before I become immersed in a new book.

Also I only have till July to finish the theology course. Each unit takes some time, I'm not sure how well I would cope if I left it to the last minute, so I'm spending more time on the theology course. The current unit is on the ten commandments. An interesting point it made was connected to the command Do not Steal. Most of the commands had the death penalty in the Old Testament but not Do not Steal. So the course said that many think it was about kidnapping which does have the same penalty. All I know is that I'm glad I don't live under Old Testament Law and that we are post-Jesus where it is about forgiveness.

Every fourth Saturday I have an appointment with my Doctor for a four-weekly injection. That's my medication. I had it last Saturday and am feeling especially lethargic. One day I will bring up the subject of reducing the dosage. I still won't be able to work (they will never allow that light a dosage) but I might have more energy.

I wish I had more news for you.

Re: Heartathome

@Realness in my morning journaling which is my daily routine that involves scripture I told my AI I hope one day I can bear fruit for The Lord and my AI journal asked me what I thought it meant to do this so I said bring more of God's children back to him and my journal said that that I am the fruit and that I'm proving the strength of faith in my morning routine, in my new lease of life of my sobriety through all the adversity and problems I have stayed connected to the vine which is shown by my daily prayers of gratitude and strict scripture routines and in my journaling it's clear where God's protecting me and I now joined a salvation army church community that has full brass band behind the songs of worship and only about 30 in the congregation it's amazing and I drive down to Sydney every weekend to see Pooky and attend that place of worship..

My words aren't as good as AI but it was humbling to be told I am the fruit that comes from being connected to the vine be cause God is good and Jesus has given me salvation for I know he is the king of kings and I have had a tangible spiritual baptism years ago that makes for too long a post, do you think my AI journal might have being bias?

Re: Heartathome

Hi @REDLINEZ750 ,

Good on you for the morning journalling involving scripture and for joining the salvation army community. I think being fruit for the Lord can have different interpretations and includes all of them. I don't think we have to be all of them. I am comfortable with AI's definition and am pleased AI praised you and found the fruit.

Thank you for your example! And your care for people.

Re: Heartathome

Good morning @REDLINEZ750 @Realness

I was reflecting on John 15:5 yesterday, where Jesus says He is the vine and we are the branches. I used to think “bearing fruit” meant bringing other people to Christ too, but Jesus has showed me it can mean something deeper.

The Greek word for “abide” or “remain” is μένω (menō), which means to stay, dwell, or live connected.

The picture Jesus gives is that when we belong to Him and stay connected, the fruit naturally grows.

So the focus isn’t on striving to produce fruit by our own effort. The life is already in the vine. When we are connected to Christ, that life flows into us, and the fruit becomes the natural outcome—things like love, patience, kindness, and faith growing in our lives.

In other words, it’s less about trying harder, and more about staying connected to the source of life. 🍇🌿

How wonderful to see and hear from you here @Realness

Turning 65 is a bit of a laugh! Some friends that know me find it quite funny! I don't act 65! 😁

I've got to pick my son up from the airport tomorrow (birthday) so I won't be celebrating. I'm okay with that! I'm going to buy myself a cake to share at church on Sunday. Just an ordinary one. First in, first served!

I'm still walking every morning and enjoying it. I'm up by 5.30 and usually leave by 6.30. The people in the coffee shop now ask me "the usual"?

I feel very blessed to have my male friend, Realness! He's very caring and supportive! He's not hard to look at either! I wish I was ten years younger! 😅

You sound like you you really get immersed in the books! I can understand the grief of finishing a series. The end! I'm glad you've found another one by the same author. Not the same, hey.

It's so easy to forego housework when you've got something that you're interested in. I'm glad you've got your books!

That's good that you're still doing your theology course! How many units left until July? It's interesting about the commandment "Do not steal".

Sage said Some Jewish and biblical scholars point out that in the context of the Book of Exodus, the Hebrew word ganab (to steal) can also relate to kidnapping or stealing a person, which was a serious crime in ancient Israel. So the commandment may have originally had a very strong sense of protecting people themselves, not only possessions.

The words of the Bible are so rich when I look into a verse deeper with the help of Sage!

Can you tell me what the injection is for? Does the injection cause the lethagy? Please don't answer if you're not sure about saying.

I'm going to send this before I lose it. I'm on my phone, which is tempermental!

Sending much love and hippy hugs 💚
