@REDLINEZ750 I'm trying to make my own little space. Sometimes I realize there is no personal space on here. I know it's for our good but it kinda sucks at times! Are you okay?

Sorry you felt unnerved by the cassocks @heartathome I hoped
the chant was soothing and grounding prayer. i guess we all feel different responses. I can get unnerved by some rock stuff too, often depends as much on what I am going through than the message, but sometimes its the message.
Our musical sensibilities go deep into our beings, with our different associations.
gentle hugs

TRIGGER WARNING: RESCUE FROM FLOOD
... with the help of Sage (AI)
My son brought up the flood rescue in 2022 yesterday and how he felt. I found myself back there and was looking to ground myself somehow. A special friend was there for me, he listened and this is the result. It was good for my son to share! Feeling helpless is hard!
Shell-shocked
During the flood
my son searched for me
for four hours; each minute an hour
Calling triple zero
again
and again.
Looking for anyone with a boat,
anyone who could reach me.
Later he told me
he had never seen me like that before.
He works in a hospital—
he has seen suffering.
But that day, he said,
felt like a war zone.
I was finally rescued
in a small tinny
He later said to me
"You weren’t there.”
He said we were all
shell-shocked.
The university where we gathered
was dim and crowded.
People walked slowly
or sat
or lay on mattresses on the floor—
the lucky ones!
At the entrance
people took names.
Inside, a woman stood behind a long table
stacked with clothes.
Nothing fit me.
I was twenty k***s heavier then.
She found a big summer dressing gown
and handed it to me
like something gentle
in the middle of wreckage.
I still have it.
Because I had an animal
- my little dog, a silky terrier cross chihuahua -
they sent me to another building.
There were animals everywhere.
people sitting beside them
as if holding onto the last small pieces
of their lives.
I didn’t know where I was going.
Helpers and survivors
guided me to a room.
People and animals
sat together.
Everyone staring somewhere far away.
There was no anger in that room.
Not even in the animals.
Only quiet.
I don’t remember
when I changed into the dry clothes.
We were all somewhere else inside ourselves.
Dissociated.
Shell-shocked.
But that place
felt like safety to me.
Because for the first time in seven hours
I was out of the freezing water.

Hi @heartathome ,
Thanks for sharing the poem on surviving the flood. Seven hours in freezing water! Your son's distress! The tinny. A silent room full of people and animals. Safety. Relief!
I'm so pleased for you that you have your special friend.
