Re: Job interview

Congrats. @Dk5. How is it all going?

I like the attitude of you’ve done it before you can do it again! Great mindset to have.

Re: Job interview

I’m doing all right. @Dk5. Just working through a lot of things in my mind and trying to deal with ADHD burnout.

My job is considered full-time.

This week I work Wednesday and Thursday dayshift then Friday, Saturday and Sunday nightshifts. All are 12.5 hours long. So it’s over 60 hours in 5 days but then I’ll get 4 days off. It rotates over a 4 weeks cycle what days and nights I work and what days of. Usually it’s 5 days off.

It’s really hard to explain unless you live it. 😂

Re: Job interview

It’s hard to describe. @Dk5. No energy, no motivation, restless, bored all the time, no interest in anything. Physically can’t function. Exhausted. Can’t do everyday tasks. Like a deep depression but it’s different. It’ll last a couple of days and then I should reset with a lot of rest and self care.

Re: Job interview

How I do it is I have a strict routine that I follow. @Dk5. My hours are a little bit different. I’m not even home 10 hours between shifts.

I go shopping the day before I go back to work so I have food for my lunches. I get up in the morning have breakfast, feed the dogs, pack lunch and then just leave. My alarm goes off at 4:30, if I get straight up and don’t think about it everything runs smoothly. If I hit snooze or lay there for a little bit then I struggle.

While at work I focus on the task at hand. At work my main focus is work. I try not to let my mind wander. It is hard at times as I’m just sitting in a truck driving around in circles on my own.

I get home, pat the dogs, have dinner, chat in here sometimes and go to bed.

I try not to let anything interfere with my routine.

Maybe there is a routine that you can set up for yourself? Maybe don’t over think about working and it being full time? See how it goes and it may all fall into place for you.

I understand the nerves, anxiety and pressure. This could even possibly be the best thing for you. You are out with people doing stuff and not sitting at home in your head.

I’m not sure how this comes across but I honestly mean it in a positive way.
