~ Toolshed 2: Power Tools for Recovery ~

Hey hi hello! Welcome to the second iteration of...

~ The Toolshed ~

I decided to make a new thread, as the first one had errors and phantom pages, and was getting quite long! You can still find all the amazing pics, inspiring quotes, and uplifting messages of the first Toolshed here.

What is the Toolshed? Ain't a place to hang your hammer! Hehe this is a space where we can share the things that have helped us in our recovery. Tools, coping skills, inspiring ideas, and messages of hope and growth, is what this space is all about!!

You can stay connected and up to date on this space by favouriting, or by subscribing to the thread - head to the top of the page, and find the three dots to the right of the thread title (next to the star), click, and from the drop down menu you can 'favourite' or 'subscribe' - and clicking the star itself will also favourite the thread for you.

Favourite threads are then always available in your favourites list which should appear on the right hand side of most forums pages - or you can go to your profile and scroll down to the 'Favourites' section under your recent posts.

If you subscribe, it means that you will get a notification every time someone posts something new in the thread. So up to you if you simply want it to be always accessible, or if you want all the updates, or both!

I invite anyone who wishes to contribute to do so! It doesn't have to be pictures, it can be discussion, questions, videos, whatever you like! So without further ado, here's my latest batch!

@MissGremlin aw thank you lovely, it means a lot. I’m so proud of you for being able to do your bedtime routine after getting through the day ❤️

I hear you on not really celebrating Christmas, I’m only doing what I can for others where I have limited amounts of energy and that’s pretty much it. I’m sorry things have been so different and hurtful for you too ❤️

sometimes I’m surprised I even made it to the end of the year at all with what I’ve experienced these past 12 months so I’m trying my best to be gentle with myself since usually I can be quite hard on myself most of the time. I hope you can be as gentle on yourself as you can manage too my friend ❤️

@lonemushroom you're so very welcome sweet ❤️. Thankyou, I've honestly spent most of the day in bed so it was really just making my iced coffee, doing my teeth and hair and taking Casper out to the toilet.

One thing about Christmas though is i at least get to give Casper his first present, that I'm looking forward to. You are doing well to do what you can, just remember to look after yourself ❤️.

I hear you, I also tend to be hard on myself and I'm also surprised I've made it this far given some of the things that have happened this year. I'm trying to be gentle with myself and just taking things moment by moment.

Hello

@PeppyPatti

I'm not to sure 😊

I try to make the best out of my situation

I don't like making presumptions , I think you may be from America .

I'm an Aussie , oops 😆

I love blue

I've look to the stars , for my one and only

I've wished apon a star

Awww I love blue

I've already mentioned that 🤣

As for grass , I'm sure I've chewed on it once or twice 🤠

And the moon , it's sometimes play havoc on me and my emotions 🌕🫩🤣

@PeppyPatti

It's ok

I'm not one to judge

Don't be embarrassed

You said Blue grass , we don't have much blue grass in Australia

Cleaning is good

I have a bit of a cleaning addiction

My aunt was on to me , round about the age of 10 .

And I've been like that ever since

I think I'm a bit of a perfectionist , to things I do or try and achieve and say .

Or tho I can be a bit of a hand full , when the mental side of me comes out .

I'm as deep as the deepest blue Ocean , but yet as colour full as a rainbow 🌈

Re: ~ Toolshed 2: Power Tools for Recovery ~

Good morning

@PeppyPatti

I'm not that young yet , I'm 47 .

I've been told by a close friend

I'm an old soul

Grouchy , well I used to watch him when I was younger on Sesame Street

Living in his garbage bin 😄

I don't believe grouchy is a part of someone's personality

Loss and loneliness is a big part and being let down over and over again .

With not much help love or support .

To help proses and move on from .

I try so so hard to cope

I fail too , more than succeeding .

1 step Forward , 3 steps back !!!

That's me

I'm so hard on my self

Happiness can be any thing you like it to be

Like on here , as this community lives and grows with all these like minded beautiful people .

We as people can be our worst own enemy

For me I have trouble understanding a lot of things , my brain most of the time .

Never lets my body and my thoughts and createvnes rest

Loving our selves can be so hard to do

I will say this tho

Rain drops keep falling on my head

But that doesn't mean my eyes soon turning red la la la la la

You have your self a beautiful night or day

Be safe

Be strong

Happy December @PeppyPatti
