~ Toolshed 2: Power Tools for Recovery ~

Hey hi hello! Welcome to the second iteration of...

~ The Toolshed ~

I decided to make a new thread, as the first one had errors and phantom pages, and was getting quite long! You can still find all the amazing pics, inspiring quotes, and uplifting messages of the first Toolshed here.

What is the Toolshed? Ain't a place to hang your hammer! Hehe this is a space where we can share the things that have helped us in our recovery. Tools, coping skills, inspiring ideas, and messages of hope and growth, is what this space is all about!!

You can stay connected and up to date on this space by favouriting, or by subscribing to the thread - head to the top of the page, and find the three dots to the right of the thread title (next to the star), click, and from the drop down menu you can 'favourite' or 'subscribe' - and clicking the star itself will also favourite the thread for you.

Favourite threads are then always available in your favourites list which should appear on the right hand side of most forums pages - or you can go to your profile and scroll down to the 'Favourites' section under your recent posts.

If you subscribe, it means that you will get a notification every time someone posts something new in the thread. So up to you if you simply want it to be always accessible, or if you want all the updates, or both!

I invite anyone who wishes to contribute to do so! It doesn't have to be pictures, it can be discussion, questions, videos, whatever you like! So without further ado, here's my latest batch!

I'm going to church soon @TAB and it's very open to the wind. I always sit outside, under cover, and listen to the sermon from there, so I'm rugged up for it. You're right regarding the weather. One of the main roads has trees down so I'll be taking it easy. They are also doing road works, and I imagine it will be muddy and full of potholes now. The joy of living rural. I feel very blessed living where I do. It's a beautiful spot and a small population apart from school holidays. I hope you're feeling okay and can rest today! 💚

Sounds good @heartathome hope there's swimming beach somewhere for when it's warmer . I lived roughly in middle of northern Yorke peninsula as kid. Discovered could see lighthouse from from yard despite being at least 10ks from coast. Was fascinated

Hello @MissGremlin was able to tackle the kitchen today. Organised juicing veg. Its all put away in the fridge. Threw out clippings plus recyclables and bin waste. Got to sweep the floor tomorrow. Feeling like my kitchen has more order in it. What have you been up to today?

Hi @MissGremlin glad you got your tattoo done! Sounds like its got a very personal meaning to you, I can understand the urgency. I have designed several tattoos for people over the years myself, but have none of my own. For many people a tattoo is a very personal and visceral way to remember a family member. I have a friend of mine who lost one son to a very painful cancer and she has one to remember his memory. Hope you are well my dear.

Hello @Icaruslanded, it's been a long time coming. It has so much meaning to me, just as all my tattoos do. That's so awesome that you've designed them for people. 4 of the ones that I have are my dogs that I've lost paw prints so they are very special to me, the other that I have is of certain people's names that also holds so much meaning to me. It's been a bit of a rough day today but we're almost at the end of it and tomorrow is a new day. Hope you're doing well ❤️.

@MissGremlin One day at a time, stay in the now, not the past nor the future my dear. I know what you mean about pets, I have a sweet little cat presently and still miss my passed animals. Perchance to dream, a better day lies ahead, the past holds much wisdom for your now and future 'nows,' remember the present is but a gift, its why its called the present...a gift of hope...if we let it?😌💜

Re: ~ Toolshed 2: Power Tools for Recovery ~

@Icaruslanded such beautiful and wise words spoken right there. I have my boy Casper now but I will always miss my babies that I've lost, I treasure the memories that I have of them. I truly hope there's better days ahead, it would also be nice to have hope but at the moment that's something I struggle with. For the moment I'm taking things minute by minute, just focusing on getting through the next. Another day is almost done and who knows what tomorrow will hold, hopefully something wonderful for us all. I hope you have a good night and thankyou for the lovely words ❤️.
