~ Toolshed 2: Power Tools for Recovery ~

Hey hi hello! Welcome to the second iteration of...

~ The Toolshed ~

I decided to make a new thread, as the first one had errors and phantom pages, and was getting quite long! You can still find all the amazing pics, inspiring quotes, and uplifting messages of the first Toolshed here.

What is the Toolshed? Ain't a place to hang your hammer! Hehe this is a space where we can share the things that have helped us in our recovery. Tools, coping skills, inspiring ideas, and messages of hope and growth, is what this space is all about!!

You can stay connected and up to date on this space by favouriting, or by subscribing to the thread - head to the top of the page, and find the three dots to the right of the thread title (next to the star), click, and from the drop down menu you can 'favourite' or 'subscribe' - and clicking the star itself will also favourite the thread for you.

Favourite threads are then always available in your favourites list which should appear on the right hand side of most forums pages - or you can go to your profile and scroll down to the 'Favourites' section under your recent posts.

If you subscribe, it means that you will get a notification every time someone posts something new in the thread. So up to you if you simply want it to be always accessible, or if you want all the updates, or both!

I invite anyone who wishes to contribute to do so! It doesn't have to be pictures, it can be discussion, questions, videos, whatever you like! So without further ado, here's my latest batch!

Re: ~ Toolshed 2: Power Tools for Recovery ~

I’m glad that things have settled a little, even if it feels like it might not last @Jacques

I’m really glad Lifeline was able to support you in that moment too. It sounds like you were also thinking about others while you were struggling, but please remember you’re allowed to take up that space and get support when you need it

I hear how much you’re trying to hold things together until your appointment on Monday. Is there anything that has helped you feel even slightly more settled today, like being outside, having something cold, breathing, or being with someone you trust?

i know it is there for everyone, i just feel so guilty i worry about people who need it imediatly. sitting outside this morning was helpful, it was 7am and cold but i was overheated. no @Nala2022 i don't have anyone i know, everyone i know is online, i don't know anyone in my town. im all alone, except for mum. i will try lifeline again a bit later. just trying to get through each hour.

Re: ~ Toolshed 2: Power Tools for Recovery ~

I hear you @Jacques, but please remember that you're exactly the kind of person they're there for too. I’m glad to hear you will try them again later if you need too.

I'm sorry you're feeling so alone apart from your mum.

Yeah, taking it hour by hour and going gently at your own pace.

I hope things ease up for you today 💛

Hi @Nala2022 I just went to the pharmacy to see if I could get something to help me sleep, she was pushing me to go to the hospital immediately to see someone, but I was too scared. I can't be put into hospital or have a night away from home.

They where to frightened to give me anything for obvious reasons. I'm so exhausted.

@Taali Hello my friend. How are you?

My GP referred me to sleep specialist. I’ve had numerous sleep studies and they help to see what is happening with sleep. It’s all bulk billed. It’s given me some help.

Re: ~ Toolshed 2: Power Tools for Recovery ~

@Taali I'm in the process of getting EMF's and wifi etc out of my house. Does your bedhead face the wall of your meterbox? Smart meters put out lots of radiation which affect sleep. I had to move my bed to another room because it caused health issues. Once I moved my bed the health issues resolved themselves. Is your computer wired or not? Many healers say to go the old way and have everything wired not wifi. Wifi can also come from you neighbours so you need something to counteract wifi from them. But with all this radiation these days it affects sleep. They also say not to have mobile phones in your room for the same reason. I think in this day and age EMF's are a big issue that doesnt get much discussion
