~ Toolshed 2: Power Tools for Recovery ~

~ Toolshed 2: Power Tools for Recovery ~

Hey hi hello! Welcome to the second iteration of...

~ The Toolshed ~

I decided to make a new thread, as the first one had errors and phantom pages, and was getting quite long! You can still find all the amazing pics, inspiring quotes, and uplifting messages of the first Toolshed here.

What is the Toolshed? Ain't a place to hang your hammer! Hehe this is a space where we can share the things that have helped us in our recovery. Tools, coping skills, inspiring ideas, and messages of hope and growth, is what this space is all about!!

You can stay connected and up to date on this space by favouriting, or by subscribing to the thread - head to the top of the page, and find the three dots to the right of the thread title (next to the star), click, and from the drop down menu you can 'favourite' or 'subscribe' - and clicking the star itself will also favourite the thread for you.

Favourite threads are then always available in your favourites list which should appear on the right hand side of most forums pages - or you can go to your profile and scroll down to the 'Favourites' section under your recent posts.

If you subscribe, it means that you will get a notification every time someone posts something new in the thread. So up to you if you simply want it to be always accessible, or if you want all the updates, or both!

I invite anyone who wishes to contribute to do so! It doesn't have to be pictures, it can be discussion, questions, videos, whatever you like! So without further ado, here's my latest batch!

Re: ~ Toolshed 2: Power Tools for Recovery ~

It’s been a rocky couple of months that feels like hasn’t finished yet @Bunniekins I’m having a hard time trying to regulate my emotions. Slightest negative thing happens and I’m either in tears or feeling angry. When the anger calms I go into tears also. A coping mechanism for me from 9yo (possibly younger) was get angry so don’t cry, when safe and calm I would burst into tears

I’ve just tagged you into a couple of threads that you might like to read. Will provide info and save me repeating things where I’m likely to forget some things

That's strange. I'll chase that up for you hopefully get an answer by today @MissGremlin

How are you going atm?

Re: ~ Toolshed 2: Power Tools for Recovery ~

Thankyou @Nala2022, I was able to tag 3 of them yesterday and previously but RiverSeal I haven't been able to tag since the new login.

Things are feeling really heavy today, I'm very emotional and feeling vulnerable. I'm not in a good headspace and recognise that I need support but I'm not able to get it. However I'm safe for now, laying in bed snuggling Casper.

Re: ~ Toolshed 2: Power Tools for Recovery ~

I just checked, I can't tag them either. Could be a setting glitch or something on their account. I'm not sure when they're in next but I'll check in with whoever starts a bit later on today. They may know how to fix it @MissGremlin

I'm sorry things are feeling so heavy today

It sounds like you're carrying a lot right now, and I can hear how hard it is to recognise you need support but feel unable to access it.

I'm glad you've let us know you're safe and that you've got Casper there with you. Sometimes just focusing on the next moment and being gentle with yourself is enough.

Is there anything that's helping you get through today, even just a little bit?
