~ Toolshed 2: Power Tools for Recovery ~

Hey hi hello! Welcome to the second iteration of...

~ The Toolshed ~

I decided to make a new thread, as the first one had errors and phantom pages, and was getting quite long! You can still find all the amazing pics, inspiring quotes, and uplifting messages of the first Toolshed here.

What is the Toolshed? Ain't a place to hang your hammer! Hehe this is a space where we can share the things that have helped us in our recovery. Tools, coping skills, inspiring ideas, and messages of hope and growth, is what this space is all about!!

You can stay connected and up to date on this space by favouriting, or by subscribing to the thread - head to the top of the page, and find the three dots to the right of the thread title (next to the star), click, and from the drop down menu you can 'favourite' or 'subscribe' - and clicking the star itself will also favourite the thread for you.

Favourite threads are then always available in your favourites list which should appear on the right hand side of most forums pages - or you can go to your profile and scroll down to the 'Favourites' section under your recent posts.

If you subscribe, it means that you will get a notification every time someone posts something new in the thread. So up to you if you simply want it to be always accessible, or if you want all the updates, or both!

I invite anyone who wishes to contribute to do so! It doesn't have to be pictures, it can be discussion, questions, videos, whatever you like! So without further ado, here's my latest batch!

@rav3n - thank you for that.... I just don't want to be reading every convo as I don't have the time .... and Monday I had like 40 emails to go through at the end of the day.

no worries at all! @Sadness2015 absolutely valid, getting that many emails can be quite overwhelming hey. turning off push notifications would probably be best so you're not bombarded with it 😊 if you have any other questions/concerns, feel free to reach out!

@rav3n - I am not a person that does the chit chat and wants to know everyone's business - I feel heartless saying this - but I am not - and when I resume studies soon, I won't have time to go through that amount of messages a day.

Re: ~ Toolshed 2: Power Tools for Recovery ~

that is all understandable my friend @Sadness2015 😍

Re: ~ Toolshed 2: Power Tools for Recovery ~

that's fair! @Sadness2015 some people like the chitchat, and some don't - no judgement here 😊 resuming studies sounds exciting, what are you looking to study?

@Sadness2015 this is so understandable sweet and i don't think it's heartless at all to say it. It's acknowledging and respecting your boundaries. In saying that, would you still like me to tag you in the daily posts that I do here during the week or would you rather me not? Completely up to you sweet, i don't want you to feel uncomfortable and there's never any pressure to support or reply to them at all ☺️

@Blackcloud you're welcome sweet, remember progress is still progress no matter how small ❤️.

Today has been rough, I'm feeling very emotional.

@Sadness2015 I thought you had a job services provider but being on DSP you probably don't so disregard my comment. As I am not eligible for DSP I had to sign up with an employment services provider and they are paying for me to do the course. I am still required to look for a job which has been incredibly stressful 🙃

Re: ~ Toolshed 2: Power Tools for Recovery ~

@ENKELI - that is why I had no idea what you were referring too 'job service provider' .... I take it that this is 'job seeker', I was exempt due to my issues - but I was only on there for 6 weeks ..... - not even a disability support agency will work with me - considering I have random blackouts, due to vertigo - last time was two weeks ago and I sustained another concussion - what fun... I am hoping after these last two surgeries now in the last six weeks, that they might have an answer why this is happening - it sucks with migraines, day and night and dizziness all the time .... I think the stress makes it worse. Honestly, I would not be able to cope with the stress of looking for a job and studying, while coping with 'medical issues'....

@MissGremlin I'm very sorry to hear that you're feeling emotional right now, sending you hugs all the way my friend xx

do you have something that you're doing or are planning to do to help distract yourself from it perhaps? like colouring-in?

even not doing anything is ok too, since that's what I always do 😛
