~ Toolshed 2: Power Tools for Recovery ~

Hey hi hello! Welcome to the second iteration of...

~ The Toolshed ~

I decided to make a new thread, as the first one had errors and phantom pages, and was getting quite long! You can still find all the amazing pics, inspiring quotes, and uplifting messages of the first Toolshed here.

What is the Toolshed? Ain't a place to hang your hammer! Hehe this is a space where we can share the things that have helped us in our recovery. Tools, coping skills, inspiring ideas, and messages of hope and growth, is what this space is all about!!

You can stay connected and up to date on this space by favouriting, or by subscribing to the thread - head to the top of the page, and find the three dots to the right of the thread title (next to the star), click, and from the drop down menu you can 'favourite' or 'subscribe' - and clicking the star itself will also favourite the thread for you.

Favourite threads are then always available in your favourites list which should appear on the right hand side of most forums pages - or you can go to your profile and scroll down to the 'Favourites' section under your recent posts.

If you subscribe, it means that you will get a notification every time someone posts something new in the thread. So up to you if you simply want it to be always accessible, or if you want all the updates, or both!

I invite anyone who wishes to contribute to do so! It doesn't have to be pictures, it can be discussion, questions, videos, whatever you like! So without further ado, here's my latest batch!

Some more inspiring words by Ravenwolf ❤️

She’s never lived an easy life.
Life has shattered her into pieces more times than anyone will ever know.
But every single time she fell apart, she found a way to rise again.
She fought back.
She kept moving forward.
She refused to be swept away by the tides that tried so hard to drown her.
There were days she didn’t know how she would survive the next hour, let alone the day.
Moments when the weight of everything felt too heavy to carry.
And yet somehow, some way, she always found a path through the darkness.
That’s who she is.
A fighter.
A survivor.
A protector.
The one who shows up when her people need her.
The one who carries the burdens no one else knows about.
The one who does whatever must be done without asking why.
For her, it was never about if she could keep going.
It was never about how.
It simply had to be done.
She learned long ago not to waste her energy on the things she can’t control.
Instead, she pours everything she has into becoming stronger.
Harder to break.
Impossible to stop.
She rests when she can.
Sleeps when she must.
And then she keeps moving forward.
People admire her strength.
They marvel at her relentless spirit and her refusal to quit.
But they never see the price she paid to build that strength.
They don’t know the battles she fought alone in the dark.
The tears she shed where no one could hear them.
Nothing in her life came easy.
Every step forward was earned through struggle.
Every piece of strength was forged in fire.
And still…
she stands strong.
More than a survivor, she is a warrior tempered by life itself.
Iron-willed.
Unbreakable.
With a heart that still loves fiercely despite everything it has endured.
She loves deeply.
Lives passionately.
And refuses to let failure define her story.
But there are quiet moments the world will never witness.
Moments when the strong woman finally breaks.
When the tears fall freely.
When the armor slips just long enough for her to breathe.
Maybe it happens in the shower.
Maybe it’s in the stillness before the sun rises.
Maybe it’s a silent pause before stepping back into the world.
But those moments don’t weaken her.
They restore her.
Because just as quickly as the tears fall, she wipes them away.
Straightens her spine.
And reignites the fire that runs through her veins.
She says, “I got this.”
Sometimes with tears still shining in her eyes.
And the truth is…
she does.
She always has.
She wasn’t born a warrior.
Life forged her into one.
She didn’t just walk through the fire.
She became it.
Strong.
Fierce.
Unapologetically alive.
Not the woman she once imagined she would be…
but the woman she fought like crazy to become.
And now she stands proud of every scar, every battle, every piece of strength she carries.
Because this woman…
this unstoppable force…
is the strongest person she built from the ashes.

It's tough to find a balance. You were recently one of the only members ever to respond to me personally. Not just a generic postcard post type tag

If I tell you to remove me from the list, I risk alienating one of the few members who treats me like a valid human being

Re: ~ Toolshed 2: Power Tools for Recovery ~

@AuntGlow i have just finished a session with my therapist. i had a reasonable day today a lot of anxiety this morning, i been struggling for more than a week with an anxious mood. However it was great meeting up with my wife. i bought her a new laptop and then we have a cuppa's together and talk for a bit. It was great seeing her, anmd even better giving her a hug and a kiss. She looked well.

She told me her therapist wasn't really helping her all that much and that now she is onto a different group of counsellors. They are Christian and operate in Perth as well as Albany, and she would get media care support through them as well. So she was hopeful better help could come from there from there were also psychologist and we both agreed that is much more what she needs, just like i got as well. So hopefully she will be able to move forward. She has her living arrangement sorted and can stay for as long as it takes, so that helps a lot. Friday, on her birthday we are planning to go for a hike and lunch afterwards, that is if i'm well enough. She called of all the others so she could spend the day with me. i was impressed about that.

At the moment i'm fine. A bit excited from the counselling, we did some deep work together.

Hoping you are okay?
