~ Toolshed 2: Power Tools for Recovery ~

Hey hi hello! Welcome to the second iteration of...

~ The Toolshed ~

I decided to make a new thread, as the first one had errors and phantom pages, and was getting quite long! You can still find all the amazing pics, inspiring quotes, and uplifting messages of the first Toolshed here.

What is the Toolshed? Ain't a place to hang your hammer! Hehe this is a space where we can share the things that have helped us in our recovery. Tools, coping skills, inspiring ideas, and messages of hope and growth, is what this space is all about!!

You can stay connected and up to date on this space by favouriting, or by subscribing to the thread - head to the top of the page, and find the three dots to the right of the thread title (next to the star), click, and from the drop down menu you can 'favourite' or 'subscribe' - and clicking the star itself will also favourite the thread for you.

Favourite threads are then always available in your favourites list which should appear on the right hand side of most forums pages - or you can go to your profile and scroll down to the 'Favourites' section under your recent posts.

If you subscribe, it means that you will get a notification every time someone posts something new in the thread. So up to you if you simply want it to be always accessible, or if you want all the updates, or both!

I invite anyone who wishes to contribute to do so! It doesn't have to be pictures, it can be discussion, questions, videos, whatever you like! So without further ado, here's my latest batch!

@papermoon I can only imagine how exhausting that is. Thank you for sharing that with me.

That is incredibly unfair and you shouldn't have to fight that hard just to be treated with respect. I really feel for you.

I really admire your courage and persistence. Not giving up shows incredible strength. You are fighting a tough fight, and your forum family are all behind you and in your corner to support you.

Thank you for the feed back @Captain24 It has taken me forever this morning just to tag the two posts that I put up last night. As when you tag them manually you can only tag 100 max per post, so I have to do multiple posts. Once I work out who is interest and who isn't, I will be culling the list.

I hope you are having an enjoyable day.

@Captain24I am here for you if you ever want to talk.

I know it doesn't feel like it now, but there is hope that things can get better.

I thought I was never going to get through or over the trauma and the memories of what I went through. But I can honestly say that 7 years later, I am in a much better mindset and have learnt a lot of lessons, and put things learned in place. Like boundaries for example. And getting rid of anyone in my life that wasn't there to support me and have my best interest at heart. Anyone that put me down or couldn't share in my small wins is now gone. That includes family as well. And I feel so much better off for it.

I still have flashbacks and PTSD from time to time, but the PTSD is the next things that I am working on with my therapist.
