~ Toolshed 2: Power Tools for Recovery ~

Hey hi hello! Welcome to the second iteration of...

~ The Toolshed ~

I decided to make a new thread, as the first one had errors and phantom pages, and was getting quite long! You can still find all the amazing pics, inspiring quotes, and uplifting messages of the first Toolshed here.

What is the Toolshed? Ain't a place to hang your hammer! Hehe this is a space where we can share the things that have helped us in our recovery. Tools, coping skills, inspiring ideas, and messages of hope and growth, is what this space is all about!!

You can stay connected and up to date on this space by favouriting, or by subscribing to the thread - head to the top of the page, and find the three dots to the right of the thread title (next to the star), click, and from the drop down menu you can 'favourite' or 'subscribe' - and clicking the star itself will also favourite the thread for you.

Favourite threads are then always available in your favourites list which should appear on the right hand side of most forums pages - or you can go to your profile and scroll down to the 'Favourites' section under your recent posts.

If you subscribe, it means that you will get a notification every time someone posts something new in the thread. So up to you if you simply want it to be always accessible, or if you want all the updates, or both!

I invite anyone who wishes to contribute to do so! It doesn't have to be pictures, it can be discussion, questions, videos, whatever you like! So without further ado, here's my latest batch!

Hi @MissGremlin I am not that great at the moment. We have been notified that we are being kicked out of the caravan park and have until the end of the month to find somewhere to live. I am in full overwhelmed emotions at the moment and can't seem to do anything towards finding somewhere to live. I just can't cope at the moment.

Re: ~ Toolshed 2: Power Tools for Recovery ~

@Blackcloud I too have members of my family that I normally longer talk or associate with. And I remember doing a course called circle of security which explained what cues young children pick up on which makes them feel secure and loved. When I left the first session I cried for nearly an hour non stop because as a child I didn't get that. Thanks to having an abusive father at the time. I then stopped talking to my mum for 6 months because I felt she had failed me. And I kept picking the same sort of partners because I didn't feel secure as a child which of course follows you into adulthood. And all I wanted so badly was to be loved. But after six months it dawned on me that my mum was a victim of DV and she did the best she could raising 3 children on her own and working, after she kicked my ahole of a father out. So in my mind I forgave her and started interacting with her again.
