SUNDAY FUNDAY

SUNDAY FUNDAY

It's Friday, which means it's the weekend! What are you up to? Whatever you're doing, share it with us on Sunday Funday.

I'm hoping we can get a little creative and share photos, poems, pictures, or even just a post - whatever you like! Anything that you feel represents how you spent your time over the weekend, and then on Sunday share it with us here.

I'll aim to take photos of my weekend activities and share them with you.

Looking forward to 'seeing' and hearing about your weekend.

Re: SUNDAY FUNDAY

Thanks @Shaz51 - i have a tendency too to overthink the week ahead, that's one of the reasons I love my cross stitching as it takes my full attention taking my mind off all concerns and responsibilities so I can chill. Also nothing like putting your feet up with a cuppa to rejuvenate. Enjoy 😀

Hi @Appleblossom

Haha, doesn't work for me, my nails are still shocking 😳 That's a good idea putting up pics of cross stitches. I will take a few pics during the week and try and upload them here for next Sunday. I have completed a few in the past but the ones I am doing now are more challenging projects (larger with metallics and beads etc) - but I love the simplicity of cross stitch. Enjoy the rest of your day ❤️

Re: SUNDAY FUNDAY

It was ok ... just salad and a bbq in a local backyard ... I chatted to a range of people ... some I knew well .. some were new ..

learning about the SPECTRUM .. of social interactions ... how friendly is friendly .. and who is dismissive ... told a bully ... not to tell me where to sit .. she abused me last time I drive her home .. the cheek ... so I was ready to pounce .. she shut up and didnt persist .. everyone knows she has dreadful anger issues and have been letting her off the hook .. but they have indulged her ABI too much ... she takes advantage of it. She has bulldozed me half a dozen times ... I was ready for a chic fight with words ... Other people have the right to express their anger too.

also sat near a lady I like who is a publisher .. just quiet but intelligent & inclusive chat around her.

They raised money to install a Braille station .. with about 6 terminals in a local library where the fellow who ran Trust was born .. in India. So I am learning social skills and contributing .. and had just the right amount to eat and drink.

Son is still doing filming.

Re: SUNDAY FUNDAY

The ABI lady's best friend of 20 years kinda gave me permission to be blunt... with a groop of writerly types. It is also the American thing .. both the Americans in the groop are domineering females .. they think Australians are backward & stupid but like our welfare system. Now I have become nationalistic about our lit cos of their attitudes .. I start spitting out strine ... instead of all my lovely poetry .. to 'sock it to em'... 'pulling their heads in' is needed ... and apparently I got the job ... cos the lovely methodist ladies were too polite .. I was a sucker for the brash superficial layer of friendliness first off .. the Aussies were initially more closed and prim and proper ... but have also been kind and understanding ... I am working it all out.

@Jacques & @Former-Member Glad you are "not too bad". Sometimes we gotta embrace those sayings... and adjust expectations.

need to go ... see you all soon

Re: SUNDAY FUNDAY

Another nice sunny day here. Went to see an old antique store. It is amazing some of the very old items they have, and some i remembered we had when i was a child. Brought back some memories.

Tonight hubby and I and another couple going to the movies to see Bridge Jones baby. I've heard it's really funny so it should be good to have a laugh or two.

Been crocheting a baby's blanket for a friend. And i also had an afternoon nap. Changing meds are making me feel tired.

Hope everyone has had a nice sunday afternoon.
