i also wouldnt be a teenager again for anything! way too many hurdles i dont want to relive

its an interesting topic you mention @peace true self (who we are innately) vs false self (trying to meet others expectations gain approval) although it sounds like it has effected you more than many it definielty effects us all

it would be a very interesting thread if you were up for it?

What are you all up to today?

I've been for a long walk this morning with our dog, husband and daughter. My daughter isn't working today (which is rare) so it's nice to spend the day with her. We have just had lunch outside on our deck and now going for a drive to one of the back beaches where we will go for another walk. Today is a beautiful sunny day and I love being outdoors when the weather is so nice. I feel okay at the moment. 🙂

sounds very relaxing @BlueBay and @Former-Member (well it will be after the lil ones wear themselves out lisajane! 🙂 )

we have beautiful weather in melbourne also and where i went talking at lunch has lots of deciduous trees so the crunch of the leaves under my feel made me feel like a kid again 🙂

we had a very lazy day today , which we really needed, it has been raining up here and very windy today

Hi all,

Myself and hubby spent the day with our close friends at their home. It was a mixture of talking about our problems with our daughter (which has become serious) and gaining their wonderful support, to having a really good laugh between us which is the best therapy of all. Then hubby and I went to the Pizza Hut for dinner. Now home relaxing. So all in all not such a bad day. Making the most of our peaceful moments while we can (the calm before the storm).

Good to read that everyone else had a good day. @BlueBay I share your love of walking along the beach. We are also lucky to live near it. That's where I find my peace - in nature. Can't think of a better way to enjoy a Sunday with the exception of the company of good friends, and if lucky enough - family 🙂

It's been a gorgeous sunny Autumn day in Melbourne and I enjoyed getting out in nature too. I lay on the grass in the warm sun enjoying all the sounds and smells of my semi-rural area, so peaceful. My dog has been "fixed" this week and is miserable as she can't go for walks yet and has a plastic cone on her head (to prevent licking the wound). She lay beside me, content to be outside.

I think these simple experiences go a long way to recharge mind, body & soul......and help us be in the present so we dont think too much about the past, or future 🙂
