All Things Sport...

All Things Sport...

There are many threads dedicated to sharing experiences - good times and not so good - so I thought I would start a thread for those on here who love their sport. For me - and I suspect for some others - sport is a good distraction as it often blocks out the more negative emotions and helps to avoid triggers that many other things in 'life' so often seem to do.

This thread can also be a place where like-minded (and not so like-minded people @utopia @Former-Member @Zoe7 lol) can 'discuss/debate' their respective competitions in their preferred sport(s).

For those that are definitely NOT into sport @Phoenix_Rising for example - avoid this thread at all costs - whoops just tagged you in..........hahaha!!!!!

Over the moon that Belgium defeated Brazil and are through to the semis. The first own goal wasn’t enough to convince me but after that De Bruyne one, I felt they really had a chance to beat the behemoths.

What a crazy tournament it has been - am loving the action.

Hope Croatia and England advance tomorrow morning.

Yeah I'm hoping for England and Croatia to go through. Trouble is, I like France (family connection), England (full of Spurs players, and kind of sentimental), and I have a lot of respect for the other two!

I've said it before: football is a happy distraction for me. I had a really bad day yesterday, and sometimes catching up on football news gives me an outside focus.

If England went through then I would most likely want them to win it @frog - it really could be anyone this year though!

Yep @frog @Zoe7 Belgium all the way. It's all coz of Martinez and his expertise from The Vetch field at Swansea 😛

@MDT sorry that France beat Belgium - it would have been lovely to see Belgium go through. Whatever the result from the England - Croatia game I will be behind the winner against France.

@frog @soul @Ant7 @Former-Member who are you all going for now?

@NikNik One last origin game to chat to you about - I know the series has been won but I bet you would love to see a 3-nil result. Goodluck tonight Nik!

Re: All Things Sport...

Well @Zoe7 I really feel sorry for any of the last 4 losing. Belgium were the most consistently good side in the comp imo. I have a little football mad French nephew, so I'm happy for him. It makes me a bit less enthusiastic that they are the big money side. I would have to say I'm sentimental about England, and they're stacked with Spurs players. I also think Luka Modric is amazing and has led Croatia so well. It's been a wonderful tournament! Bit sad there's only 3 games left. I didn't answer the question - one frog perched precariously on the fence!
