Thanks @Jynx . Unfortunately, the trivia night was called off at the last minute because of a storm in the area. I'm not too disappointed though. I wouldn't want to drive in heavy rain either! It just means everyone will have to put up with me for the night! 😁 😂

@SmilingGecko d'aww bless!! 😊

I've been slowly reading a book called 'My Grandmother's Hands' - about intergenerational trauma from white supremacy. So it's a heavy read 😅

But I've been wanting to maybe get into some Discworld novels, but they're hard to find in op shops...

You, any good books or projects on the menu?

Naww thanks @Snowie 😊

@Jynx I have read 'My Grandmother's Hands'. I found it very insightful and very much a heavy read. I would recommend it to others.

I'm reading a book called 'Where memories go' at the moment. It is a book about Dementia and how a diagnosis changes everything. A very powerful read.

I like books where you learn something or it gives you a different perspective on life.

Wow @Jynx @Snowie I just checked out that book! It comes at a time where I was reading an article by Dr Mercola about organ transplants. People take on the emotions, likes and preferences personality and characteristics of the donor. One person with no previous talent with art could suddenly paint striking pictures. Another might take on new habitual characteristics that never belonged to them in the first placeor desire food they once would never eat. Its true all emotion is stored in the body and organs. I'm interested in somatic approaches, after doing zen bodytherapy and working with Taoist healing practices to release emotion in the organs. Thanks for letting me know about that book.I'm going to get a copy when I get paid my DSP!!!

@Jynx Whoa, reading your comment about the book youre reading made me think about a song I heard, and I only remember the lyrics 'Grandma's hands'. Its also a song by Bill Withers, which may have been covered by the artist I heard it through. It didnt click till just now reading your comment the symbolism of those lyrics (Im not very informed on the subject)
