Something’s not right

really struggling

really struggling

im really really struggling and i dont know what to do.

im tired and worn out and purely exhausted and so overwhelmed

ive recently been dagnosed with 4 mental health conditions and insomnia.

im caring for everyone and they still seem to expect more and more but i literally have nothing left to give. im completley worn out! and when i say everyone i mean my pop, my siblings, and my mum. my pop im actually a carer for so that i completelty done mind but why am i the only one making an effort elsewhere.

i literally have no friends, the only family i have are the above meantioned and i know its the not the end all but it would be nice it have just little bit of support as at the moment i literraly have nothing.

im working as both a carer and i also like a pet sitter but i only do horses. so in general i rug feed, treat wounds if neccessary ride, clean paddocks etc while people are on holidays only kind of busy trhough easter xmas and other special occasions. as well as cring for my own horses

i feel sick all the time, i shake like a leaf and im having trouble controllling anything and everything. i just cant handle it. its too much and i do know what to do about it

Re: really struggling

@Shaz51

it was mainly an introduction session but it took 2 hours of answering questions but at this minute the plan is to go see them every week plus a weekly phone appointment as well. and i can always contact them if need be as well as their hotline they have for this program.

so at the moment im just reeling from so many questions but the plan is to see them for to months to deal with my SH and SI and hopefully it will help

Re: really struggling

Hi @Former-Member

I just logged on.

Glad you survived the session. 2 hours is a long time, but probably best they get a good picture of your situation so that they can help. Glad they will see you regularly.

I often needed to wrap myself in cottonwool after that type of session. Maybe journal a bit about your own reactions. Try different things that make you feel better and make a list of them.

Yes SH & SI are exceeding difficult to talk about or even think about. The problem is that in isolation or secrecy they usually get worse. You shouldnt have to deal with it alone.

Take Care

hi @Appleblossom

it was very mentally exhausting! i didnt realise i was int here for so long until i walked out and checked my phone.

i cant wrap myself in bubble wrap though id really like to but i have to look after my sister, organise another appointment and get my new glassess sorted out.

the journalling is a good idea though. i think thatll be pretty handy.

i have been dealing it alone @Appleblossom

Re: really struggling

I got that @Former-Member

You reminded me of when I was your age ...30+ years ago .. I did not have luxury of wrapping self in cotton wool for decades ... but do encourage sis to take up her share of responsibility.

Re: really struggling

Hi there @Former-Member. I haven't been here for very long but I've been reading along the last couple of days and wanted to reply to you last night but sat with it for a while and decided not to. What I was going to say was that, for all the challenges you have been facing, something that stands out to me is your bravery. It takes being brave to reach out and seek support and challenge yourself. I noticed a lot of that in your posts. I can imagine that going to an appointment like that would have been difficult and maybe even scary, but you did it anyway. I think you also called some helplines too (SCBS maybe?) and making those calls can be really scary. But again, you did it. So even if you're not feeling proud of what's happening for you at the moment, maybe you could try and notice your courage and bravery and be proud of that?

Hope you have a better night tonight 🙂

Hiya @Shaz51 🙂 hope your day has been good?

I'm interested in knowing what you like doing too @Former-Member. For me (when I'm in the right mood) I love doodling, listening to music, getting my craft on and reading. What about you shaz?
