Oh yeah, I like to visit the sea when I can.

I live in suburban Adelaide so it's easy to get to the beach.

I also enjoy the football as most here know.

I recently had some surgery so any outing where I can feel safe is great !

yeah @Captain24 the male fig bird has a lovely call, sometime my ears ring as it must be breeding season and so I try to work out where they are coming from to spot them haha.

Sounds like you got a couple of beautiful spots near by and also somewhere you can find peace so close, just around the corner that’s awesome. Would love to see pics of your walk next week too 😎.

Yeah snakes are hard 😜 sometime I worry I spend too much time looking everywhere else but the ground 🙈 but should get more in the habit of scanning the ground before everywhere else lol.

Ah I see yes I remembered you love the beach and if I recall you also have a secret swimming hole that you go to sometimes- I also love a good swimming hole to swim!

sorry I just realised before I forgot to ask how I was, not intentional just got too focused on everything else hehe. I am doing okay going to catchup on some sleep soon so just chilling with the dog. She has a sore eye again which is really disappointing, she hates the drops but will let me do it, if it’s not right within the next couple of days it’s back to the vet for what looks like another corneal ulcer. I really wish she’d shut her eyes more often when rolling on the ground 😜, I still have all the treatment from the last couple of corneal ulcers at home- pain relief and eye medication so least I can get into it quickly 😊☀️. I hope your day flows on and you can find more peaceful moments today. 🙏 I’ll post the other bird when I have figured out what it might be lol.

If it was easy for me to get to the beach I’d be there all the time! @Taali I just love sitting and watching the waves crash and watching the big ones ash in the rocks. Love diving through the waves and going out past where they break and just floating over them!

I’ve never been to Adelaide but I really haven’t been many places. I live central NSW in a small country town!

AFL I’m guessing? I don’t follow football much any more but I still have my team but I follow league.

@Taali Its good you are sensible about therapies. Tbh, some therapists, simply do not have broader lived eperience or in depth training, and seem a bit OCD to me, about their particular favourite brand. I am not always impressed by the level of training or insight. With my background, (trauma load and education) I would have hoped for a helluva lot more nuanced intelligent reflection or comment with me, but it is rare.

Generally in life, I have met heaps of tough talking types, who whinge about sitting on the fence or boast about being direct, as if rudeness is truthfulness. I live in Australia, mate. I have found a way to get along with that type, by joking about blokey things, (including footie lol) but honestly, I dont really buy it. Some things are more clear in life, (like some white lines on the highway), but many things are are not. My style is to follow the processes diligently and thoroughly, so I am not making excuses for not trying. But I also have been on a limited budget. I did not have the luxury to muck around. Therapy is an area which abounds in complexity.

Yes I agree re the therapists who have no lived experience

In fact during my last psychiastric hospital admission I was feeling very sick and tired of therapy session facilitators who hadn't ever lived with or experienced living with a person with mental health issues.

They invariably pushed my buttons

I initially encouraged to attend but pretty quickly became disenchanted and the patient who I could tell was unwelcomed in sessions tbh I only attended to break the tedium of the day

Or if I'm really really honest to entertain myself by challenging them.

One of them even said to me "(****** can you give me 5 minutes before you interrupt the session)"

Oh I am female in many ways of thinking, but have a definite tomboyish side, and love Spectrum the band and the concept and the odd rainbow... in the sky. @Taali I am weird and lucky in a way ... very broad .... lol .... but I did eventually lose some weight ... weary sigh!

What kind of dog do you have @Chasingsunsets. I’m sorry that they have a sore eye. There is no way I could get eye drops into either of mine! I would get bitten.

I will post when I do it but it won’t be for well over a year. I posted 2 the other day, I’m in the middle of one and I have to send a complaint about one and if they can’t fix it reorder from somewhere else as it’s a Christmas present. But the very first one I’m doing after Christmas is my sunset one!

I hope you have a good rest. I just had one but didn’t really sleep much. I did call my boss though and asked for the next 2 days off as annual leave for mental health reasons but he said no. He couldn’t approve it with so many people already off.

I’m sitting on the lounge looking at a blank tv screen and doom scrolling. I’m trying to talk myself into going to the wetlands now.
