Dear sister, I would not ever again believe that 'be perfect, as your Father in heaven is perfect' means the perfectionism religion teaches. I found that out the hard way too. 'Perfect,' in the true Way, means loving the righteous and the unrighteous alike — exactly how we are loved as well down here. That frees you completely: nothing left to earn, only the love you've been given, to give out. Love all truthfully — the one command that carries all commandments. It isn't that Paul says it wrong; it's that we hear wrong what he says. Read 1 Corinthians 2 about that.

@Lozenge Hope you find value in the dbt course. I have studied it a bit online, and I like many of the ideas, but not had enough money to book into a full therapeutic course. I try and apply whatever is relevant to my own circumstances. I like it more than CBT, but been looking at fashions in therapy as long as fashions in clothing. Listen to your own heart and mind about how you negotiate the ideas. I hope you get good support in the group and by individual therapist. I would love to hear your experience and insights.

@DownMoreThanUp I have been thinking, reading, learning and talking with people into theology ( ministers, seminarians, chaplains, pastors, Phds etc etc) for a LONG time. I love simplicity, but tend to be careful about ideas of perfection. Its not about argument. Your passion is your style, and I hope it serves you well.

Like the Christian fields, the therapy fields are diverse. I see that as good and a reflection of the diversity of human experience.

Yes @Appleblossom I tend to read up and pick the right fit for me without adhering too strictly to any therapy or teachings

i got the caravan up. And i reckon i will be able to put my computer in there without being an eye sore. But it will be some getting used to having lived in a roomy house most of my life.

@Taali, I made the mistake of making a negative comment about Sane and it was edited and I was given a warning. I remain non committal these days.

Yes it does seem to be taking a while for photos to be approved. It could be that there are not as many moderators any more or something like that.

@DownMoreThanUp I understand what you mean by having to downsize. I went from a 4x2 house to a 1 bedroom unit when I moved to Broome. A postcard stamp for a back patio and the laundry was in the bathroom.
