Many years ago at the beginning of my mental health journey I saw a psychologist who came close to convincing me that my beloved mother must have abused me.

I quickly stopped seeing him when I realised that he was either grasping at straws or transferring his own issues to me.

Luckily I have now found support from some extremely dedicated and helpful professionals

we both can choose our own therapists

I was obviously "ripe for the picking" to that charlatan.

Had I been stronger at the time I would have report him.

I hate to think that my silence may have caused harm to others. I just have to forgive myself and hope that he was stopped somehow.

@Taali hugs and hugs Taali. talking for myself i have tried to do my best with my kidults which is far from perfect but i have done my best with the hand i was given. my kidults tell me they love me even my autistic son through his silence shows me he loves me and that is all i can ask for.

That's the first time I actually put my experience out there

Have hidden self loathing for a long time.

I know I was at a weak point and am ashamed that the thought of someone or something was to blame rather than dealing with the knowledge that I was actually mentally unwell and self medicating mostly with alcohol as an escape. And became an addiction.

Whoah... a bit of a pour out.

Anyway. I thank you very much.

@Taali hey Taali i remember parts of the time when i went crazy. i remember thinking i was magical and could lip read and that the voices i could hear were from microphones put in my house by god only knows who! i remember once the voice coming out from my computer told me to hurt myself which i did then i went to the local shopping centre visibly hurt but no one not security, no one helped me. i think looking back it was a cry for help (me getting to the shopping cenre that is) .... i still have a scar from it.

i was diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder late in life due to trauma. i am medicated. sometimes when i forget to take my meds i see things like for example i was walking back into my bedroom and a shadow person ran across the room infront of me, which reminds me that i am still have it..... it will never go away.
