What has been your highlight today, no matter how big or small? Come share 🫶

Hi everyone! This is my first ever forum post so do hope it lands where it’s meant to 🤣

Most days, I like to find a highlight 😊. Usually, that means during a walk with my dog, I try to spot something different, something cool or something that brings me some happiness. Whether it’s something big or small, it doesn’t matter. A highlight can be anything!

I love taking photos and would really like to share and see what you've come across. Something that made you smile, sparked your interest, or simply caught your eye. For me, it’s all the little things that count on the hard days.

To start, I’d like to share these beautiful birds I came across today. They like to appear like branches of a tree or the tree itself. They are called Tawny Frogmouth’s. Has anyone else seen these types of birds? My pics below -(hopefully not too small to see two in the tree on the left pic).

@Chasingsunsets thank you hehe I'm so nervous!! also, I realised I should've opted for only one retainer instead of both retainers for both sides of my teeth because looking at my current retainers - its only the bottom one thats broken and more fragile whereas the top one only has a slight crack to it. 🫩 then i wouldn't have to pay $580 for both hahaha, i can just pay $290 for just the one retainer hahaha and it wouldn't be too bad 🥲

Aw I hear you @Blackcloud, gah I don’t love the dentist either but you’ll have sparkling teeth after 😁. Just in time for the new retainers! That would be an awesome feeling! You planned it so well right! Hope you have some awesome beats you can listen to, I’ve done that before 🎧🎶. Thinking of you 😊

@Chasingsunsets so true!!😁 as i haven't had a check up before, i would assume it involves the dentist asking me some questions - which is seriously my least favourite thing about these kinds of sessions lol and its one of the reasons why i get nervous 😅 like I would just prefer them to just check it and do whatever they can do and then weeeee!!!

i also have one section of the lab report that I think I'm gonna start drafting today which is only 200 words and im glad that this section is gonna be my last one that i'll be doing for this assignment. plus, its due next thursday. fingers crossed i can finish it before the end of this week! 😊

Ah I don’t recall the dentist asking me too much @Blackcloud, just sat in the chair and let them do their thing hehe.

Good luck with your lab report! Is the content for this one interesting?

@Chasingsunsets ohh that's good to know then, since its my first time going there hehe so I thought I'd ask before the actual thing happens 😊 that makes me feel a bit better!

yeah its for psychology as thats the field i'm currently studying at uni (I'm doing Bachelors). Since its psychology, I'm sure all the content related to it is interesting as psychology itself (content-wise, not assignments though) is really interesting to me 😊

UPDATE: the dental cleaning check up wasn’t too bad, thankfully I wasn’t asked any questions and the dentists just did their own thing throughout the whole session. The session lasted for about 40 minutes but she did recommend I come back in again in 6 months time. I did however paid a lot more for the dental cleaning check up than I expected because it involved the dentist having to add fillings, removing cavities and all that…

My highlight today was getting to chat with my friend for nearly 2 hours. It was lovely to hear from her! My throat is sore from talking so much and I don't care!
