What has been your highlight today, no matter how big or small? Come share 🫶
Hi everyone! This is my first ever forum post so do hope it lands where it’s meant to 🤣
Most days, I like to find a highlight 😊. Usually, that means during a walk with my dog, I try to spot something different, something cool or something that brings me some happiness. Whether it’s something big or small, it doesn’t matter. A highlight can be anything!
I love taking photos and would really like to share and see what you've come across. Something that made you smile, sparked your interest, or simply caught your eye. For me, it’s all the little things that count on the hard days.
To start, I’d like to share these beautiful birds I came across today. They like to appear like branches of a tree or the tree itself. They are called Tawny Frogmouth’s. Has anyone else seen these types of birds? My pics below -(hopefully not too small to see two in the tree on the left pic).

Hi @AuntGlow I have been alot better. We got kicked out of the caravan park that we had been living at for the past 6 years, because of my partner's behaviour towards our new and complaining neighbour. We basically has 2-3 weeks to try and find somewhere to live. And with the housing situation as it is at the moment, it was basically impossible. 2 days before we had to be out, we managed to rent a caravan and have it delivered to my mum's property. So that is my current living situation.
I am really struggling to find something positive to look forward to in the future, as I can't see how we are ever going to find a rental property. My one hobby that I love and enjoy which is coin collecting has been packed up and stored away, as there is not enough room in the caravan to store or sort them. Plus I'm the caravan is not secure enough.
The first rental we looked at was on realestate.com.au and it said there was 48 properties available in. The area that we were looking in, and there are 981 people interested. How can you hope to find a place to live with so many people looking and I can’t work, so that would go against me on the application.
I really can't see a way out of the life I now find myself stuck in, through no fault of mine. Which has been eating away at me.
And I still have concerns for my daughter who is currently living with her father. [TW: Potentially distressing details]
She sent me a video through of him screaming at her to do the dishes, and he said in the video the he owns her and she will do what she is told when she is told. He also told her that she will probably end up being a prostitute because she won't be able to find a job.
He is home all day, and our daughter has just started year 12 and she exercises regularly. So when she said she can't do the dishes as she needed to do her exercise, that's when the rent began.

@Bunniekins Thank you for your support❤️ The picture might take a while, but I will keep working at it, making sure I get out of bed to do it.
I purchased this diamond art picture to do. Can't wait until it arrives.
