What has been your highlight today, no matter how big or small? Come share 🫶

Hi everyone! This is my first ever forum post so do hope it lands where it’s meant to 🤣

Most days, I like to find a highlight 😊. Usually, that means during a walk with my dog, I try to spot something different, something cool or something that brings me some happiness. Whether it’s something big or small, it doesn’t matter. A highlight can be anything!

I love taking photos and would really like to share and see what you've come across. Something that made you smile, sparked your interest, or simply caught your eye. For me, it’s all the little things that count on the hard days.


To start, I’d like to share these beautiful birds I came across today. They like to appear like branches of a tree or the tree itself. They are called Tawny Frogmouth’s. Has anyone else seen these types of birds? My pics below -(hopefully not too small to see two in the tree on the left pic).

@Bunniekins did you have a bad night last night? I didn't sleep that well last night. So when I wake up at all hours of the morning, to stop myself from going over past events in my life, I watch shows on my phone until I fall back asleep. Which is probably what I will be doing today, to try and catch up on some sleep. I have just started watching my first paranormal show of the day. Lol

dont know whether I am biased , but with health issues over last 7 or so years have been in3 dift hosps in WA, and 3in SA.lyell mc was crappy day ward, never same staff, odd people etc re staff. ArmadaleWA first by a mile (staff) kalgoorlie 2nd, FionaStanley drs brilliant, not nurses. SA, where i am number 1 its like Wandin Valley lol

Pirie number 2 , LMc distant last lol @Mustang67 all very subjective but yeah based on staff mostly . had nurses sniping at each other in room about to have procedure, another one with dog breath and paranoid ok some old foreign guy nurse

@Chasingsunsets Beautiful photos of the birds! I love them!!! Looks like it was a very pleasant walk. Are the birds along wetlands or just in suburbia?

@TAB @Bunniekins i too am losing weight for better health. I too dislike plain water lol.

Wishing you both mental strength and self-discipline. Happy to walk this journey with you and encourage you along. I've lost a few Kg's so far over as many weeks.

I no longer live in Adelaide/SA, but I spent a number of years as a child living in the Adelaide Hills region. I still say words with a long-a sound.

Hmm maybe that is why I am scared of sharks - because I grew up with knowing about the surfing risk off Adelaide. I like the look of them, but they scare me if I was in open water with them!

My highlight today is easy - last day of work for 3.5 weeks! 😁

Yes @Chasingsunsets being in nature is very important for me

Love your photos

The rainbow lorikeets can be noisy but they're not noisy all the time, so it's ok. I would rather that than loud music or other man made sounds

Yes I love walking in the bush and only hearing natural sounds
