What has been your highlight today, no matter how big or small? Come share 🫶

Hi everyone! This is my first ever forum post so do hope it lands where it’s meant to 🤣

Most days, I like to find a highlight 😊. Usually, that means during a walk with my dog, I try to spot something different, something cool or something that brings me some happiness. Whether it’s something big or small, it doesn’t matter. A highlight can be anything!

I love taking photos and would really like to share and see what you've come across. Something that made you smile, sparked your interest, or simply caught your eye. For me, it’s all the little things that count on the hard days.

To start, I’d like to share these beautiful birds I came across today. They like to appear like branches of a tree or the tree itself. They are called Tawny Frogmouth’s. Has anyone else seen these types of birds? My pics below -(hopefully not too small to see two in the tree on the left pic).

What have you seen today? ☀️💛🙏

@MissGremlin @TAB @GezzaP me too. I am out south and loving it. I lived north most of my life, but made the move south 6 years ago. I am so close to the beaches out this way.

Marino is just south of me. @TAB I like it. I bought my unit here because I worked nearby and most of my friends live close. I bought in 1998 when I was working and paid the mortgage off. It was a divorce settlement so I got it quite cheap. Has gone up five times in value. It’s a two bedroom unit with large bathroom, laundry and separate toilet. It has a large garden.

Got wet on my walk back from the shops not soaked just damp.

Hoping it clears up like the BOM says it’s going to so I can garden. I find gardening relaxing and a good distraction.

Off to microwave heat pad for my back and neck. Then I’ll wait for psych to call.

Hope you have a good day.

@TAB my step brother who is a police officer calls the Lyell McEwen the Lyell McKillen. His wife works there. And I have spent many hours in emergency's waiting room over the years I was out that way. My partner died there, but to offset that, my beautiful daughter was born there. So whenever I went there, I would always try to think of it as the hospital where the best thing happened to me, by giving birth.

@GezzaP I never go in the water, after a shark scare when I was 19, but the beach is my calm place. And now I live so close, it is easily accessible. When out North I was 30 minutes away, which was too far in my book. Lol

I bet you enjoy being so close to the beach. I never really know what the weather is doing because I don't venture outside very often and my blinds are usually down. It’s funny, the cabin is sort of an extension of my moods. When I am not that great all the blinds are down and the windows are shut. But when I am in a good place in my head, the blinds are up and the windows are open.
