What has been your highlight today, no matter how big or small? Come share 🫶

Hi everyone! This is my first ever forum post so do hope it lands where it’s meant to 🤣

Most days, I like to find a highlight 😊. Usually, that means during a walk with my dog, I try to spot something different, something cool or something that brings me some happiness. Whether it’s something big or small, it doesn’t matter. A highlight can be anything!

I love taking photos and would really like to share and see what you've come across. Something that made you smile, sparked your interest, or simply caught your eye. For me, it’s all the little things that count on the hard days.

To start, I’d like to share these beautiful birds I came across today. They like to appear like branches of a tree or the tree itself. They are called Tawny Frogmouth’s. Has anyone else seen these types of birds? My pics below -(hopefully not too small to see two in the tree on the left pic).

I couldnt quite drop off @GezzaP am up now

yeah garden out of bounds here for a while had17mm overnight

not a garden person per se,but try to make things a little less like a jungle now and then. was pruning roses, have to spray one, covered in sheep poo other nite.so should be well watered in by now lol ok will have quick prune at one (tree size) rose bush today

pruned other one a few weeks back and it grew 50% seems, , not been pruned in years

will stay up til chemist opens and get scripts ,need repeats but cant be effed today

a pile of gardening implements sposed to be arriving at hardware shop today. takes them a while to unpack though, so maybe tomoz lol

Yes @TAB said he was from north. Do you live in Adelaide? @MissGremlin I do south western suburb near beach. Only 20 minutes to city on the train. 10 minute walk to local shops, 5 minute walk to beach and native gully.

Going to walk up local shop shortly. Psychologist due to call at 9am.

I snoozed for another hour @TAB . About to walk to local shop before psych calls at 9am. It has stopped raining here and looks as if it’s clearing up. Hopefully I won’t get wet. I like to get one walk in daily even if not far.

Puss cat cuddled up in her hammock at the top of her cat tree.

I hope to plant some succulent cuttings today.

yes, been here 2.5years after coming back from WA @MissGremlin @GezzaP prob spent 20 years or more in Adelaide, used to be in Woodville Sth, Seaton, Alberton, Fulham, North Plympton, Mile End for like 7years. used to walk to Central Market lol. notso familiar with Adelaide over last 5 plus years ,new roads can be a bit scary.

I’m sure psych appt will go fine. @MissGremlin I like him. Not sure what I’ll talk about though. Sleep, fight with sister and what I’ve been doing I guess.

@TAB @GezzaP i used to be in a lovely part called Yankalilla and worked in victor harbour. I miss the quietness of up there. Now I'm in suburbia i guess.
