What has been your highlight today, no matter how big or small? Come share 🫶

What has been your highlight today, no matter how big or small? Come share 🫶

Hi everyone! This is my first ever forum post so do hope it lands where it’s meant to 🤣

Most days, I like to find a highlight 😊. Usually, that means during a walk with my dog, I try to spot something different, something cool or something that brings me some happiness. Whether it’s something big or small, it doesn’t matter. A highlight can be anything!

I love taking photos and would really like to share and see what you've come across. Something that made you smile, sparked your interest, or simply caught your eye. For me, it’s all the little things that count on the hard days.

To start, I’d like to share these beautiful birds I came across today. They like to appear like branches of a tree or the tree itself. They are called Tawny Frogmouth’s. Has anyone else seen these types of birds? My pics below -(hopefully not too small to see two in the tree on the left pic).

What have you seen today? ☀️💛🙏

I would like to go to Norway too and Antarctica, Africa and Spain. @PeppyPatti

But all costs money. Went to NZ earlier this year saw both islands. Was there 6 weeks,

@PeppyPatti ooh Glen Forrest is a lovely, very expensive suburb! I would love to live in the hills. ex friend lives in a rental in Walliston, I'd love to live close by just to piss her off.

Mundaring would be nice, but again pricey. If I win lotto I will buy a property up there, or Stoneville. Considering the most I've won is $100 on lotto I suspect it will be a long time before I can afford to buy my dream house!

I had left over lamb and veggies roast for dinner last night @Bunniekins . It was yummy.

Up early again cause I’m hypomanic. I have bipolar I. Not sleeping well at all. Very annoying. Feeling tired all day.

Will go for a couple of walks today,

Cooking chicken stock to make Aztec soup. I learnt this recipe in Mexico City. It is very nice, Also need to clean cat’s food tray.

Once it’s light I will do some gardening.

In the afternoon I will watch women’s AFL and read gardening magazine.

Hope you are ok.

I’m up at this hour @Bunniekins too hypomanic to sleep I’m afraid. I won’t see anyone today. Will walk a couple if times, cook and garden. Feeling tired.
Why are you awake? Hope you’re ok.

Yes I hate the lack of sleep. You’re tired all day. And it makes my back and neck ache.

Aztec soup make a chicken stock. The longer you cook it the better. Pull chicken off of any remaining bones. Add sliced black olives, tin of corn kernels, sliced jalapenos to taste, cumin to taste, generos handful of dried coriander leaves. Serve with grated cheddar cheese, chunks of avocado, sour cream, crushed mission corn chips and more jalapenos if you like them.

@GezzaP your Aztec soup recipe sounds delicious im gonna make it i love anything with sour cream in it 😛 ! i just have great difficulty sleeping. i think is mostly an age thing as women get older they sleep worse i have found. plus when i was studying a number of years ago i wasnt medicated and was manic on and off for 18 months (so i get where you are coming from) now i am medicated to the hilt and i still have difficulty sleeping.

i have to admit also i rather enjoy being up in the middle of the night is quiet and there is generally someone friendly like yourself who is up also 🙂
