Feeling caged up

Feeling caged up

The recent medication changes has calmed my brain down. I’m still feeling caged up, I know my psych is looking at more frequent therapy sessions if we can get more under ED plan. Once a month sessions aren’t enough. It just feels like the traumatic memories aren’t ending, I’ve been in therapy for years. It’s taking so long to heal. I just want to get to the point the body flashbacks aren’t so regular

Re: Feeling caged up

@GezzaP my psych suggested an app that records sleep. I might also get one of those smart watches.

It’s so weird how lack of sleep can have an energising effect for some people. Maybe I need to give myself a few days to decide whether the dosage is right for me, but it’s hard going through that withdrawal period. I’ve ordered some omega 3 supplements too, they say omega 3 is great for mental health, it’s hard to get that therapeutic dose through diet.

I’m feeling calmer compared to earlier today, still getting lots of thoughts and still have too much chaos in my mind. I feel like I’m suffocating. This restlessness is unsettling. Too much in my head

Re: Feeling caged up

@tyme I don’t think I’m thinking right. My thoughts are super clouded up right now. I feel like time and time again I ruin everything. I can’t seem to reframe it right now, is there something wrong with me? Every reframe feels fake, am I doing it wrong?

I’m sorry, the new meds changes have been hard on me today. I’ve been worse instead of better

Are you over thinking and over complicating life in general? @creative_writer

Open to hearing your thoughts.

Is there a way to 'think' WRONG? Aren't thoughts just thoughts and it's the actions that matter?

@creative_writer I take krill oil tor Omegas as I don’t like fish only shell fish. I slept 8 hours again and feel the hypomania is going away. I’m stabilising which is a great birthday present.

Have to go to chemist again for a script I got in the post yesterday. Also need to get toilet paper and cat food. Will drive today as bulk toilet paper is awkward to carry. Need to do washing too, but will wait for off peak power time.

Hope you can get a free sleep app. I think the watches are too expensive for me.

Hope you slept better last night.

@tyme I am treading on a very fine line today. Having really bad SI. I have slipped into SH, now I must be careful not to let this form of SH progress to something more. I don't want to go to hospital. I need to be strong enough to stay out of it. I've tried distracting, it helped a bit, but it's hard to maintain that constant distraction. I guess I need to take it moment by moment. I am waiting for a phone call from my pdoc.

@GezzaPis it your birthday soon? I slept better than the night before, can't say I feel settled.

Re: Feeling caged up

@GezzaP Happy birthday. I hope you have a great one 💖. Where did you go for lunch.

My Pdoc upped my med dose, so it's still a decrease from what I was previously taking, but less of a decrease. Starting to feel more settled, but really emotionally exhausted. I'm still depressed, just no longer have that high risk agitation, it's easier to resist the urges. I've had a really full on day emotionally, I can't really say much on here, I was edging very close to an attempt
