Something’s not right

Feeling caged up

Feeling caged up

The recent medication changes has calmed my brain down. I’m still feeling caged up, I know my psych is looking at more frequent therapy sessions if we can get more under ED plan. Once a month sessions aren’t enough. It just feels like the traumatic memories aren’t ending, I’ve been in therapy for years. It’s taking so long to heal. I just want to get to the point the body flashbacks aren’t so regular

Re: Feeling caged up

@GezzaP I hope you are able to get some sleep and stay cool. It’s going to be warm here tomorrow, will try to get my workout done in the morning, and may need to skip the walk. Not sure what to do tomorrow, maybe apply for jobs. It’s so hard to function.

@creative_writer Slept for 7 hours. Got hay fever. Will take tablet. Need to shower.

Re: Feeling caged up

@GezzaP 7 hours is decent, I hope sleep continues to look up for you. I need to use my hayfever nasal spray today.

It's been a warm day here, feels super stuffy at home.

I hope you've had a kind day today 💜

Re: Feeling caged up

My day has been ok @creative_writer . Yes sleep ok and snoozed for 30 mins in the late morning.

Tired now and they still haven’t emptied my bin. Hot and humid outside here. Bedroom shut down to try to keep it cool for sleeping. Might have to use ceiling fan tonight. I don’t like it over 30 degrees. I have a low tolerance level for warm weather now. House ok so far.

@GezzaP I have low heat tolerance too. I hope you try to stay cool.

Do you have much planned for tonight?

Re: Feeling caged up

No plans for tonight @creative_writer . Usual early dinner watch the news. Bed. Cool in my house. Got one door open cool breeze. Think it’s going to cool down even more overnight. Already eaten nothing exciting.

Re: Feeling caged up

@GezzaP it’s going to cool overnight here too, still very warm right now. I skipped the walk due to heat intolerance. I did my workout in the morning.

What did you eat?

I also had a psych appointment today, it was very heavy. I feel ashamed of talking about my mental health because it’s not what I’ve grown up being told. My parents never let me go to therapy till I turned 18, they’re not a fan of therapy and prefer to talk things out within the family. Though talking to my parents isn’t really productive, so better not to talk. I feel ashamed of talking about my stuff in therapy because I feel like I’m going against that expectation. I feel like I’m supposed to keep things bottled up.

Here with you @creative_writer,

I understand why things might be feeling heavy right now.

Here for a little bit longer, so I am happy to talk. 💛

@AuntGlow healing is hard, talking is hard. I’m just exhausted from always fighting. I don’t want to go on like this, I need some relief, but finding relief is hard. Self care is amazing, I’m seeking support, but it feels like my head is under water
