Feeling caged up

Feeling caged up

The recent medication changes has calmed my brain down. I’m still feeling caged up, I know my psych is looking at more frequent therapy sessions if we can get more under ED plan. Once a month sessions aren’t enough. It just feels like the traumatic memories aren’t ending, I’ve been in therapy for years. It’s taking so long to heal. I just want to get to the point the body flashbacks aren’t so regular

Re: Feeling caged up

I just had a headache caused by my neck aching. @creative_writer Took tablets and has gone away. Wow you have been busy with appts. That’s a lot of stimulation. Glad to hear you slept better. I hope you enjoy your new exercise regime. My GP handles most of my meds. Psychiatrist mostly manages sleep med. Psycho handles therapy. I’m not sure yet what he will suggest as I’ve only had two appts with him.

Re: Feeling caged up

@GezzaP appointments can keep you busy. I see my GP whenever I need to, can’t always fill scripts up with psychiatrist, still waiting to see him. My GP doesn’t ask too many questions about my MH, which is a relief. I had my dietician appointment today and psych appointment tomorrow. I also have GP appointment tomorrow, but I’m keeping it telephone.

I just finished the previous exercise program, so starting a new one right now.

Two sessions in is still early days, I’m guessing it mostly been assessment and getting to know you. Bipolar is one of those complex mental illnesses.

Re: Feeling caged up

@creative_writer Yes early days with psycho. First session was spent discussing my relationship with my sister. We had a fight and she will have nothing to do with me anymore she said. He said sounded like a toxic relationship. The second appointment was some assessment. We haven’t finished that yet, so it will continue next time.

Most of my GP appts are by phone for scripts and bloods. Due to have a fasting blood test. Also due for mammogram. But not sure I can afford GP appt this pay cycle as I have lots of bills.

i really hope you enjoy your new exercises and that your new diet works out well for you.

Re: Feeling caged up

@GezzaP assessments can take a while. I’ve had assessment even well into therapy, only because more came up during sessions.

My psychiatrist manages the dosage and the type of meds I take, my GP doesn’t touch anything but does give me scripts for any meds I need. I can’t always get into seeing my psychiatrist for every script, it’s financially taxing. I see my psychiatrist privately. I do have a healthcare card, so more gets covered once I’m above a threshold.

Still getting used to the new routine, it’s a 16 week routine, will keep me busy for a while. Might start the diet in a few days when I have more of what I need.

Re: Feeling caged up

@creative_writer Yes my psychiatrist manages doses. I keep my GP up to date. I don’t have calls from my psychi that often so GP covers scripts most of the time.

You are already eating bone broth though right? I’ve never tried it do you eat like soup? Can you buy it? I’m going to bed later tonight because I slept longer last night. Going to close blinds in a minute going to be cold here overnight.

Re: Feeling caged up

@GezzaP sorry for my late response. I’ve got bone broth concentrate, I just pop a bit in a cup and mix it with warm water. I’ve also had homemade, but we don’t make it often.

How are you doing today?

Re: Feeling caged up

@creative_writer I’ve seen bone broth in the shop. Expensive but not sure if it’s a concentrate. I’ll look tomorrow.
i’ve had a shitty day. The installers for my roller shutters didn’t show up for the second time. I’m beyond angry. Now they claim they are coming Saturday at 8am. I asked for a discount. I said if they don’t show up Saturday I want my money back and I’ll use a different company.

I also had a painter here most of the day and he didn’t finish all of the job. Did a good job but was very slow. He said he might come back tomorrow afternoon he’ll text or call me. If not he’ll come Monday, but I have an appt at the chiro at 9.30 so I’ll have to drive whereas normally I walk. I don’t like driving and it is on a main road that is always busy. So if he comes Monday. I told him to come at 11am. I usually go to the supermarket down there and stop in the cafe for a coffee and cake but I won’t be able to.

Haven’t had any chance to do Spanish lessons today yet, but I planted a cutting as soon as painter left to calm down a bit even though it was raining a little bit. It is warm here today.

Excuse the rant.

I hope your day has been calmer than mine.

@GezzaP the bone broth concentrate may seem expensive but you get good servings from it.

It sounds like it was a tough day. I hope tomorrow is a better day for you.

I had a psych appointment, we covered a lot and it was a productive appointment but I’m just so exhausted.

Re: Feeling caged up

@creative_writer Glad you had a good appt with your psych.

Painter said he may come back tomorrow afternoon but at least I’ll have the morning to myself.

What is the stuff that’s supposed to be good about bone broth? I might try it.

Going to bed directly
