Feeling caged up

Feeling caged up

The recent medication changes has calmed my brain down. I’m still feeling caged up, I know my psych is looking at more frequent therapy sessions if we can get more under ED plan. Once a month sessions aren’t enough. It just feels like the traumatic memories aren’t ending, I’ve been in therapy for years. It’s taking so long to heal. I just want to get to the point the body flashbacks aren’t so regular

So true @creative_writer . Healing is pain. I see it as growth. Growth is painful. I'm not clinically trained, but I can sense how hard this is for you. I just want you to know that we're here for you even if I don't always have the words for it.

I see slept 6 1/2 hours which is great. @creative_writer Feel good.
Sorry you are struggling so much, but pleased to hear your new diet is making you feel better.
I will check Facebook, do my Spanish lessons and do my physio exercises. Already paid a couple of bills.
Will go for a walk when it’s light. Planning on gardening this morning.

Re: Feeling caged up

4 hours is not enough sleep for me @tyme . I went back to sleep in armchair for an hour. I had a nice day yesterday. Painter came to do a quote and was on time. Spent the afternoon at a friend’s place. We wandered around her fabulous garden. Then we discussed some books in Spanish that she gave me. I took her a box of succulent cuttings I bought on Facebook marketplace. She was thrilled with them. We had a cuppa and cake. She is from Argentina. We spoke Spanish the whole 2 hours which is great practice for me. I don’t get to use my Spanish much even though my puss is bilingual lol.

Planning on gardening today. But first I will check Facebook, do my physio exercises and go for a walk once it’s light. Back and neck feeling good.

Re: Feeling caged up

Morning @creative_writer hope you are better today.

I’ve already done some gardening. More seeds have germinated - sunflowers and globe artichokes.
Waiting for end if peak hour so I can go to pick up my new glasses. I’ll need a cataract removed in 6 months time.

Will also go to Bunnings to get garden stuff. Then I’lk go back into the garden as it is a lovely sunny day here today.

Slept for 6 1/2 hours.

@tyme sometimes there are no words. Pain can be deeper than language. I’m struggling to find those words too. It’s just that I’ve been struggling for so long. I’m not saying I haven’t healed on the journey, but I’ve had so many blocks. I’m hoping I can somehow reduce those blocks so I can heal.

@GezzaP glad to hear you were able to get into the garden.

I hope you are able to pick up your glasses without driving stress. Removing a cataract doesn’t sound so good.

Re: Feeling caged up

@creative_writer I was more confident driving today. I lost my confidence after I caused an accident. Got my glasses then bought 4 packets of native seeds snd 6 plants (3 indoor plants).

i walked to the local pub for lunch.

Put some off cuts in the green bin and watered new outdoor plants. It’s warm in the sun today. Beautiful day.

Relaxing now.

Asked my friend if he wants to go out. He just woke up and hasn’t answered yet. I might go by myself to see a friend I haven’t seen for ages. Feel like getting out of the house today even though I have a sore foot. I trod on some palm leaves and a thorn went in my ankle. It really hurts. See how I feel at 3pm, might end up staying home we’ll see how I feel.

Re: Feeling caged up

@GezzaP totally get losing confidence after a crash. My brother did too.

Seeing friends can make a difference. It’s so hard once you’re adulting to arrange times to meet up, school days were a lot simpler. Though I also barely had friends at school, so barely having friends might just be a me thing.

Re: Feeling caged up

@creative_writer I still sometimes shake when driving. Saw a friend I haven’t seen in ages. Was nice to catch up. Was really hungry when I got home. Had antipasto, pickled onions, pickled baby cucumbers and celery with peanut butter in it. Yummy.

Going to try to stay up to watch women’s footy - my team is playing. But feeling a bit tired though having dinner has woken me up a bit. Going to have a herbal tea. Will turn TV on soon and relax,

Puss has not even looked at her food but hoping she’ll eat it overnight like she often does.

Hope you’re ok.

Re: Feeling caged up

@GezzaP your dinner sounds delicious.

I hope you enjoy the footy.

Have you tried giving her different food?

I’m emotionally exhausted and coping the best I can.
