Feeling caged up

Feeling caged up

The recent medication changes has calmed my brain down. I’m still feeling caged up, I know my psych is looking at more frequent therapy sessions if we can get more under ED plan. Once a month sessions aren’t enough. It just feels like the traumatic memories aren’t ending, I’ve been in therapy for years. It’s taking so long to heal. I just want to get to the point the body flashbacks aren’t so regular

Re: Feeling caged up

I’ve been gardening since I was a teenager so about 50 years. I like flowers too. Bought a selection of wildflowers and some blue roses. Already planted petunias and portulacas. @creative_writer

But I love the cacti flowers too. Also have a melaluca tree with stunning flowers at Xmas time.

Do you have a garden?

Re: Feeling caged up

@GezzaP we have a backyard, we do get flowers that grow in it. We don’t actively plant seeds in the garden. I know my dad has grown herbs indoors before, not sure if he still does it.

The sounds pretty. Do you do anything special for Xmas?

Re: Feeling caged up

No I don’t do anything at Xmas @creative_writer especially now my sister is not talking to me. So I’ll be home alone. What about you?

@GezzaP do you have friends?

I don’t do Xmas, but it is good to get a break.

Re: Feeling caged up

Yes I have friends but they spend Xmas with their families. On the odd occasion I get invited, but usually spend Xmas day alone and just treat it like any other day.
How about you. @creative_writer In bed with puss cat now.

Re: Feeling caged up

@GezzaP I don’t celebrate Xmas. It’s rough spending holidays alone.

I hope you slept okay last night and today has been kind towards you 💖

Re: Feeling caged up

@creative_writer If my sister wasn’t giving me the cold shoulder we would get together around Xmas. But she isn’t talking to me. Both my parents have passed. No other siblings. Got an aunt and her children but don’t have much contact with them and my aunt lives a long way away from me.

I just do my own thing. I’m ok with that.

If my Argentine friend knows I’m alone she might invite me to her place.
I slept 6 hours last night and have had two 20 minute naps so I’m good. Went for a walk. Was already hot by 7am. Working in the garden with frequent breaks due to heat and need to drink plenty of water. Going back into the garden now after I have some more water. Feeling good today.

How are you?

@GezzaP it’s hard not having that family support. I’m glad to hear you have a supportive friend.

It’s warm here too, but it’s cool inside the house.

I’m tired, I had a big outing yesterday. I’m also allergic to dust and grass, feeling congested

It’s cool in my house too. @creative_writer

Bummer being congested. I used to get hay fever pretty bad but not anymore.

Just cooked banana bread waiting for it to cool. Looks nice and smells good.

Hope your allergy eases.

Re: Feeling caged up

@GezzaP we had the heaters turn on. It’s wild, I checked at it said it was 28 Celsius outside.

Banana bread sounds delicious. I have meal prep to do tomorrow.
